My day went on like normally. Then it got later and the Café less crowded. "Madame, I think I can take over from here.", I said to her. "No no my child. I wanna see the men. I wanna know if they treat you right."
"They do. They are all lovely." "One in particular.", Madame said. "Pardon?" "The man that was walking out of your bedroom. I have seen his face. I feared that his pretty face was ripping apart in two because he was smiling so much.", she said. I chuckled.
"How did it happen? How long have you known him for?" "I just met him yesterday. After I finished cleaning I kind of- uh—" "you got tipsy. I know. The wine bottle was half empty.", Madame said. "Yes, I am sorry. I will repay you that wine.", I said. I felt bad.
"Oh no honey, you don't have to. You would be surprised if I told you how much I had from this bar.", she said laughing. I joined in. Then the young revolutionaries walked in. "Bonjour Madame, Mademoiselle. We're early.", the blonde curly haired Revolutionary said. What was his name again? Angela? Edward? Enjolras? Enjolras! That was it.
"The room is empty. You can go up.", Madame said with a smile. The men walked up to the room— except for one. "May I talk to Mademoiselle Emilia?", Courfeyrac asked. "Oui.", Madame said, pulling me away from a customer.
"Hello." "Hello. Can I help you with something?" "I wanted to thank you for last night. I really liked that.", he said. "I have to thank you as well. I liked it too. I am sorry for what I said this morning. I was in a rush—", I started but he interrupted me by pressing his lips against mine. Madame Houcheloup pulled him away. "Up up in the room now. Your leader won't be happy about it." I laughed.

Hours have passed and Madame and I cleaned the tables. Someone had celebrated their birthday here and people messed up almost the entire Café. There was cake on the ground and on the ceiling. "Don't worry, I'll get that.", I said to Madame.
I got on a chair and tried wiping of the Cake. I forgot that I was scared of heights. I mistook a step and fell backwards. I expected to crash on the floor but instead fell into a pair of arms. "Always there to save you.", he said with a smirk. "Thank you. Now- uh, could you maybe let me down?", I asked, blushing. His cheeks were turning red and he nodded. He let you down. All of sudden I felt dizzy.
"Emilia, are you okay?", Courfeyrac asked, "Emilia?" I almost fell if his arms wouldn't have wrapped around my waist once more. "Madame, can we please get some water?", he yelled at her. He put me down on the floor. Everything was spinning and his face blurred in front of my eyes. I could see him nodding to Madame and then he looked back at me. Then I could hear the Revolutionaries running down.
But that was it. My eyes closed. I couldn't properly hear anymore.

"She's opening her eyes again.", I could hear Combeferre. It was silent but I knew that it was him. I l realized that I was no longer lying in the Café downstairs, but my own room. "Are you alright?", Grantaire screamed. "Grantaire, shush your drunk mouth!", Courfeyrac yelled. My hearing came back to me. I was finally able to hear again.
All I could see was his worried face. "Go away Combeferre. Emilia, can you hear me?", he said pushing Combeferre away. I tried sitting up but Combeferre and Courfeyrac pushed me back into bed. "Why aren't you letting me get up?", I asked weakly.
"Because you just fainted. Oh and about that: do you know why you fainted?", Combeferre asked. I shook my head. "I don't know. But please let me get up. I need to help Madame clean up." "No, you need to get better. I want you to stay in bed and take a day off or two.", she said. I was about to say something when she looked at me. "Emilia Choquet, you're staying in bed."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Someone needs to stay with her. I can't and Joly— well, we know what could happen if we let Joly watch over her", Combeferre said. "Courfeyrac could.", Madame said. "Would you be okay with that?" "YES, he is very okay with that.", Madame said. "Alright. So what do you need for the night? We could go to your apartment and get your clothes here."
"Oh, he won't need them.", Madame mumbled. Yet, I heard it. I was close to burst out into laughing (a/n: no seriously, I was so close to burst out laughing 😂) but I kept it in.
"I need your instructions. What do I need to do?" "Make sure she's breathing. I do not know what caused her to faint.", Combeferre said. "I think I do. She hasn't been eating in the last few days but has worked nonstop." Now Courfeyrac had hold in a grin. "That might be the cause. Thank you Madame."
