I see people trying to wake me up. What is happening?

"Camilla, are you okay?" I see blurred faces and hear muffled voices.

I start to get up, only to see Ace throwing up still. I can't shake off this feeling that this is the end of the line for Ace. My body won't let me get up; it wants to stay on the floor. I want to sob. I want to throw up. I'm watching the love of my life die right now and everything is in slow motion. All the doctors are paying attention to Ace who is clearly not going to make it another night.

I see Riley and Ace's mum run into the room to only see their loved one about to die. I have one nurse who is trying to snap me back into reality. I feel like I'm in a movie where everything is slow motion before my eyes just before I pass out again.

Finally I hear a voice speak, 'God, please, in your name, help Camilla to wake up.'

At that moment everything finally becomes clear. I can see Ace in front of my face; he has finally stopped throwing up.

I hug him in great joy. "You're okay," I sobbed.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Ace said concerned.

"What happened?" I asked feeling my head. I felt a bump on my head.

"I don't know, I mean one second we were talking, the next you're getting up to ask the doctors to come help me when nothing even went wrong! I tried to tell you to calm down but as soon as we got into the room, you passed out cold on the floor. Then you started yelling and shaking and there were a bunch of nurses around you trying to wake you up."

"Oh my gosh..."

"The doctors may think there's something wrong from the crash. But Cam, we just saw a miracle happen! Only through prayer could you wake up."

I hugged Ace tightly. "Am I going to be okay?" I asked, even though a bunch of people were standing around us, they all kept silent.

"Cam, they're going to have to do some tests on you to see what has happened. But I'll be right by your side through every second if you need me."

"Thanks," I sighed, trying to get up. I was in a lot of pain so I just sat there for a little while. I told everyone I would be fine. The nurses told me I'd have to come in for surgery in a few days. They dated the tests for the day after my birthday. I'm a little nervous. This was the first time something like this has happened to me. I'm afraid to see what has happened.

When I got home from the hospital, I threw my bag on my desk and fell on my bed.

I fell back on something hard. I got up rubbing my sore back and looked as to what I had fallen on.

Sitting there was a laptop, a MacBook. Confused and completely surprised I picked up the laptop and looked inside. There was a note saying that it was for me from my parents as an early birthday present.

Screaming with excitement I ran downstairs and hugged my parents. "Thank you!" I screamed.

"You're welcome. We've known you've needed new laptop for a while so we got this for you for school." My mum said.

"Thank you!" I said and I ran up to my room.

Today is my eighteenth birthday and my special day started out pretty well. Ace and I have the same birthday, and I'm only 56 minutes older than him. Also, on our second birthday, we met each other. First, I got a birthday text from Ace and also from Dakota and some of my peers.
