"A masked man from the flame council has come, master Cedric,"

"Let him in," Cedric said from where he sat behind his desk.

The masked man walked in, his red robe dragging on the marble floors as he walked to the front of Cedric's desk and cleared his throat. "Master Cedric of Cruin, I have come on the king's behalf, it seems like you are causing Demondale some trouble,"

Cedric's eyes widened and he stood up abruptly "He didn't listen to me! That bastard!"

"Cedric Reid, Rupert said you did not deliver the resources he paid for, is that true?"

"It is, but only because my men were attacked when they were delivering," Cedric said, sitting down and trying to remain calm

"He mentioned dragons,"

"Yes, they were attacked by magicians who summon dragons,"

"And you want the king to believe this?"

"I know the king will not believe this, that's why I told Rupert not to tell him and that we could settle it alone," Cedric sighed.

"You did what? You told him not to tell the king?"

"No wait-"

"I'm heading back, this is clearly treason, you want a war to break out in Osledel,"

"No listen, these magicians are up to something, you have to believe me!"

"Enough of this nonsense!" The masked man turned around to leave, "Your arrogance will get you nowhere,"

Cedric slumped on his chair, he knew that these magicians will spark a flame in the kingdom and he had to stop them somehow, but he didn't know where they came from and no one would believe him.

"Master Cedric, some men have come to speak to you urgently,"

Cedric nodded, and two of the men he left at the sight of the delivery came in, "Master Cedric, word from the west has reached, two dragons were sighted flying around Western peaks!"

"What?!"

"Yes, master, a few people have seen them at night and I think it's what we're looking for,"

"Gather the men, we're heading west!"

"How are the preparations for the ceremony going?" Edmund asked as he walked through the castle halls with Rogerus.

"Very well my king, the yard is almost ready with all the decorations,"

"Good, I don't want anything to go wrong on the day, after all, he is the future king,"

Rogerus nodded and stayed behind as the king walked into his wife's chambers. His wife Della was standing by the balcony, cradling Arlie in her arms. Edmund rushed to her and snatched Arlie from her arms. "Don't bring him so close to the balcony! What will I do if he falls!" he snapped

Della stood in shock "But Edmund, I was being careful,"

"Just...just don't get in my way, you're here to look after the child and that's it!" He sighed and started pacing around the room "All I needed from you was a child, I don't need anyone in this world but my son, now that I have him..." he hesitated "I don't need you anymore,"

Della's eyes were wide, welling up with tears "...Edmund-"

"Don't!" Arlie started crying from his father's loud voice.

"You're scaring him," Della tried to grab her son from the king "I can't leave him with you!"

He shoved her away making her fall to the ground "Now I'm really going to get rid of you, I thought maybe I could keep you so you could take care of him and feed him," Edmund adjusted his clothes and made his way to the door, but Della grabbed his leg.

"Edmund, he is my son, please, let me just take care of him," she sobbed on the ground.

He yanked his leg away and walked out of the room carrying Arlie in his arms. Della was left alone in her chambers, sobbing on the floor "My baby is crying..." she whispered to herself. She dropped her head on the ground and curled up into a ball, before crying herself to sleep.

"Hey, when does this fraction end?" Finn asked as they walked through the heavily foggy woods.

"It feels like we've been walking for hours, no Vonks, nothing," Rowan muttered, keeping his grip on his bow tight.

"Doesn't it feel like the fog is getting thicker?" Gregor asked, walking ahead of everyone. He waited for an answer but there was none. He turned his head around quickly and his heartbeat immediately sped up. Everyone was gone. "Aden?!" he yelled into the darkness. They were here a few seconds ago.

His head darted in every direction, searching for a familiar head, but everything was white "Alan?! Barton?!" His breathing was becoming so loud, he couldn't control it, he was scared. He squinted at the fog, trying to make out anything from behind it.

His pupils dilated as they caught sight of something. Two red orbs of light, so far apart that Gregor thought it couldn't be a Night-Slayer. The two circles came closer and Gregor moved back until his back hit a tree trunk.

He squinted more and his red eye glinted brightly, and that's when he saw it. He gasped in fear, and backed up against the tree, knowing that there was certainly no escape.
