A/n: hello fellow humans. I'm back from the dead.
Yes.
I know.
I take so long to update.
I'll be quicker next time (I (maybe) promise).

Tyler's Pov:Josh's house was nice.
A quiet area, unsurprisingly, since the streets of the small, desolate town had no more than a couple cars passing through per hour. In my case, the empty neighborhood was good- nobody saw me walking here. Plus, the residents' majority consisted of elderlies- those who had walking sticks, hearing aids and glasses though they still had vision as blind as a bat. They'd die trying to drive a car. Only the young youth did. The young, reckless disappointment of this youth today. I liked being part of this. Could hide my own self-inflicted failure within the collapse of modernity.
A few seagulls flew overhead, squawking obnoxiously, as I fiddled with the key in the lock- stupid thing- wouldn't fucking turn, fiddle more vigorously, swear and- a click. Door number 16 unlocked, so I took a reluctant step inside and shut the door behind me.
Actually, Josh's house was a lot more than simply nice.
The blood soaked T-shirt clinging to my chest felt uncomfortable and disgusting, but I didn't rush to undress. My eyes peered around and I hummed quietly to myself.
Josh must have a vision for design.
I slipped my shoes off beside the door, where a few pairs of Josh's trainers lay, and walked along the wooden floorboards into the lounge.
The room was painted white, and the walls mostly consisted of large glass panels- some in which were sliding doors leading out into the patio and garden. I noticed the pool outside. Huh. A smile drew to my lips. Wonder what fun that could've been on drunken nights. Sex, chlorine and champagne- all have a burn, some more tolerable.
The L-shaped sofa was a dark brown with creme cushions cosily tucked in the corners and a small coffee table beside still had an half-empty mug of black tea and work papers splayed across the surface. Facing that, against the wall was a fireplace filled with old, burnt-out wood and a flat screen T.V. centered to its left.
His place felt lived in. Like a home. It made me fall instantly warm and welcome. Belonging, even- though I knew I should've never crossed these boundaries. There were certain boundaries in an affair; an illegal one limited those so much more. However, I'd crossed both lines, landing myself miles from the start, and it was far too late to turn back now. Run to safety. I fucking couldn't. This line was a long sinking slope. But heading forward was considered a bigger risk, a larger danger. I knew. He knew. This would be a road down Hell- so buckle up. We had no other options.
