Chapter 9: reveal yourself

Tom Riddle was gazing at his leather diary he couldn't help but stress over his plans in these past months he's discovered he is the heir of Salazar Slytherin and he needs to carry out Salazar's work but he hasn't found the chamber of secrets yet he now has more superiority then before of course he told his loyal followers about his ancestry he has created this group of his many Slytherin pureblooded friends They were a motley collection a mixture of the weak seeking protection, the ambitious seeking some shared glory, and the thuggish gravitating toward a leader who could show them more refined forms of cruelty.
They were called "knights of walpurgis"
The group primarily consisted of wizards and witches who were radical pure blood supremacists who practised the Dark Arts riddle manipulated them to do his bidding
He was soon snapped out of his thoughts when Abraxas Malfoy took a seat next to him at the dinner table

"Hello Tom.." Malfoy spoke tiredly
He just nodded his eyes flickered to a very Particular brunette she was in her own little world looking at nothing in particular she preoccupied most of riddles thoughts he thought about her everyday she fascinated him in so many ways she was so interesting to him he wanted to know everything about her she was part of his many plans he hadn't realized she noticed his intense stare

"Cordelia come with me" he said standing up walking towards the large doors Cordelia was confused but followed him nonetheless after walking for approximately thirty minutes straight tom stopped walking infront of a wall on the seventh floor pacing three times he was deep into thought when all of a sudden there was this loud rumbling sound the floor beneath their feet shook it felt like an earthquake there was now large doors infront of them Cordelia was confused and impressed at the same time she gave Riddle an anxious look which he ignored opening the doors

"ladies first" he said impatiently
Cordelia felt uneasy about going into this secret room god knows whats  inside of it  "calm down Cordelia there isn't dementors ready to suck your soul" Tom rolled his eyes pushing her inside of the room and shutting the door behind them after he took a step in the room was very dark he muttered a fire charm which lit the large fireplace that was in the center of the room giving it light Cordelia walked closer into the room it looked like a ordinary room it had couches and a chair with many bookshelves it looked similar to their common room she walked towards the bookshelves scanning the spines of the books every book inside of this mystery room was all dark magic it was such a obvious thing that tom took liking to the dark arts that was his favorite subject that was all he ever read about

"Tom what is this place?" She asked turning to see riddle standing infront of the faceplace his hands folded behind his back he turned his face towards Cordelia

"It's called the room of requirement"

"Why did you bring me here?" She asked confused

"I wanted to talk.." he said walking towards a green velvet chair sitting down as if he were a king and that was his throne Cordelia was intimidated by him he had a powerful demeanor she took a seat on a chair opposite him

"Talk about what exactly?"

"About anything" he said calmly

"Okay well... how are you?" She awkwardly asked

"Fine.." he replied she knew he was lying there was something bothering him and she did not know if she wanted to know what that was
She nodded she gazed down to her hands on her lap she was uncomfortable with Tom she didn't know what he was capable of he could've killed her right now and nobody would know

"Cordelia you've been here for quite some time now and we know nothing of each other" he spoke breaking the awkward silence

"There's really not much about me tom I am just an ordinary girl"
