Chapter 20: denying riddle

Cordelias pov
It's been two months,
Since Tom and I have been dating and now that I am apart of his cult I get to go to his midnight meetings in the forbidden forest which is very interesting I haven't seen any of his "death eaters" yet they're always covered in black cloaks but Tom says I'm not ready to see who they are yet... but they can see me makes no sense at all tom hasn't asked me to do any tasks yet which I'm thankful for I haven't even seen him since a week he's always busy and so am I. I was currently sitting on a sofa with Walburga and Edith chatting in the common room I wasn't paying any attention to them or their conversation too deep into my own thoughts

"Earth to Cordelia hello!" Walburga snaps her fingers in my face

"What?!" I snap out of my thoughts glaring at her

"Um Tom is asking you a question" she points to tom infront of us I didn't even notice him..

"We need to talk" Tom says expressionless walking out of the common room I stood up and followed him trying to keep up with his long legs

"Wait up!" I yell running I stopped when I hit his hard back and fell to my butt "ow" he turned around shaking his head

"Can you get anymore clumsy?" He put his hand out for me to grab which I gladly took

"It's not my fault you walk so fast! Merlin" I say out of breath he kept on walking this time not as fast
We made it to the room of requirement

"So what did you want to ta-" he cut me off

"I need you to kill someone" he said opening a book
I stared at him in shock

"You're joking right?" I gasp he looks at me smirking

"Why would i joke darling." He places the book back and stares intently at me

"I-I'm not killing anyone tom!" I say mad

"But you have to." He replies walking closer to me

"I don't have to do anything riddle!" I glare at him

"That's where you're wrong black" he is towering over me

"You don't scare me" I say truthfully which only Makes his smirk grow

"Really?" He grab his wand and lightly pushes it in my neck "just two words and you go poof" he evil smiles

"Then do it! What are you waiting for dark lord" I say sarcastically which triggers him

"Cordelia this isn't a game I ordered you a task you will get the job done!" He says

"No" I cross my arms which makes him red

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way... I see you like the hard way" he rolls his eyes I don't reply

"Fine then hard way it is" he points his wand to me and mutters "imperio" he smirks at me "now go and kill Rebecca Gilbert" he says
I smirk at him
"No" I smile he looks at me in shock

"GO NOW!" He yells I don't move a mussel

"It didn't work!" He glares at me "how didn't the imperio curse work on you"

"I'm more strong then I look tom" I walk towards the door leaving him alone in the room dumbfounded
I was not going to let him push me around I knew joining his cult was a bad idea but I let him deceive me. AGAIN I roll my eyes I hate Tom he just wanted me to join because I have a "special ability" what a fool I walk into my dorm and fall into my bed screaming in my pillow soon after I lost my voice my eyes closed and I was off into a deep slumber
