Brae and I are halfway down the hill when we realize Will isn't following us. Brae glances up, cursing. He starts back up when his radio comes to life again. "Brae, we've got somebody here who says she's the ex-wife."
Brae's torn. I know that he can't leave Will behind, but at the same time, he can't pass up the chance to finally get some answers. I decide for him. I grab his arm. "Brae, forget him. Let's go." We retreat down the hill.
