1 Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy.
This verse makes me think of the song that says, 'Hear my voice, Oh Lord, and my cry for mercy, in this day of trouble I will call on You. Teach me Your ways, I will walk in Your truth, give me an undivided heart, nations You've made, will worship You, for You alone are the living God. I will praise You, I will praise You, glorify Your name, Oh Lord.' Do you know this song?
2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers,
3 who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows,
Your tongue can be used as a sword, and words can be like arrows. Watch what you say.
4 shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear.
5 They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, "Who can see them?"
6 They search out injustice, saying, "We have accomplished a diligent search." For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep.
7 But God shoots his arrow at them; they are wounded suddenly.
8 They are brought to ruin, with their own tongues turned against them; all who see them will wag their heads.
9 Then all mankind fears; they tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done.
10 Let the righteous one rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult! - Psalms 64
God always wins in the end! It's not even a fair fight, God will win no matter what!
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for everything You have done for us, thank you You for giving us the gift of speech, please help us to use our words to glorify You and build others up, and not to tear anyone down. Thank you that we can always trust in You and go to You with our troubles. You are so powerful, no one can hurt You, You can do absolutely anything You want! And yet, You choose to care about us, sinful humans. You care so much You sent Your only Son to die for us! And You hear our every prayer! You not only hear out prayer, You enjoy hearing our prayers and You always give us the best answer! You truly are so amazing and wonderful! Thank you. Please be near everyone in my prayer journal, let them feel Your presence and know that You care about them, in Jesus's name, Amen
