April 29, Ps 124

Yesterday was coffee house, it went well. We all played a trivia game together and my dad handed out prizes of Christian books and movies, and I gave out some candy. Everyone had lots of fun and my coworkers talked about it at work today and said they all really enjoyed it. About 20 people came, a dozen from church and 6 from work. After the trivia game, we kinda all split into groups, my coworkers, me and one guy from church played games in the basement, and everyone else hung out upstairs and outside. I was hoping there would be more interaction between church and work people, but it is was it is.

1 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side- let Israel now say-

2 if it had not been the LORD who was on our side when people rose up against us,

3 then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us;

4 then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us;

5 then over us would have gone the raging waters.

6 Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth!

7 We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped!

8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.  - Psalms 124
So true, our help is in the name of the Lord, if it had not been the Lord on our side, we would have never escaped from Satan.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for everything You do for us, thank especially for the great time everyone had last night, Father please use us to work in the hearts of those who don't love You. Father I also ask for Your blessings on Hymn sing as it is starting up again, please shine through us as we sing of You. Father please be near everyone in my prayer journal, please shine through those who love You, and please show the others Your love and light, in Jesus's name, Amen
