~(Y/n)'s POV~
"Miss (Y/n), it's time to wake up for school." I heard a calming voice say, waking me from probably the best sleep I've ever had. I sat up groggily, rubbing my eyes and looking at the maid. She held up my school uniform, and smiled.
It's gonna take some getting used to having the help of the maids, but I didn't mind it.
I jumped out of bed, brushed out my hair and quickly got dressed, with her help maneuvering as best I could with one arm. The maid dismissed herself, as I pulled on my white stockings and black dress shoes. I quickly put my hair up into a ponytail, and made my way down to the kitchen. I saw my brother, sitting at the table eating some breakfast with my dad at the other end, reading something in the newspaper.
"Good morning, (Y/n)!" My brother shouted as he waved to me, causing me to smile and take a seat beside him. A plate of waffles and bacon was set down in front of me, and I happily grabbed a fork and began eating. My dad looked up from his paper, and smiled at me.
"I've waited so many years to see this. I'm so glad to have you home, (Y/n)."
"Me too dad, I already feel a lot happier than I was at moms." Speaking of her left a sour taste in my mouth, which I replaced with waffles.
"I'm so sorry how she treated you all these years."
"It's okay, I had learned to block it out." I smiled to him, but he only frowned.
"How is your arm feeling today?"
"Eh, I get scared to sleep because I don't want to roll on it, but so far it's been fine. I have a check up with the doctor soon."
"We're gonna be late for school, dad, talk after!" (B/n) said, grabbing my good arm and pulling me out the door.
"Bye, have a good day!"~time skip~
I made my way into the large building, walking up the vast amount of steps and went to my locker. It wasn't hard to notice the glances from other students, and the occasional loud whispers.
"She's back."
"Oh my she really broke her arm?"
"I wonder if she paid someone so she could get attention?"
"I heard the host club had to save her."
"That slu-"
I sighed, opening my locker, but to my surprise there was an orange envelope, neatly placed on top of my books. I took it, opening it carefully and reading the note.Dear (Y/n);
I can't describe it in words the way you honestly make me feel. It's a weird aching that I want to get rid of, but can't. Why are you doing this to me? How can someone be so beautiful, so selfless. You're okay with not being perfect, and being yourself.
I won't reveal who I am, yet.
Just stay beautiful. My face was red as I tucked away the note, placing it into a pocket in my bag. I quickly got the books I needed, and headed to my first class, where a set of twins were already seated at my desk. I sighed, walking up, ignoring them and setting my bag onto its hooks, and sitting in my chair. They both sat on one side of my desk, staring down blankly at me.
"Could you please move?"
"No." They said, looking at each other. Hikaru nodded to his brother, and he got up and left.
I'd rather he be the one to stay at the moment, for Kaoru was currently on thin ice.
"(Y/n)?"
I ignored him, turning my head and looking out of the window.
"Look I'm sorry, I was just upset because I thought you were and-"
"You can't just assume things. I hate when people do that." I glared.
"Like how they've suddenly all assumed I've staged the kidnapping for You guys attention." I frowned, suddenly feeling the words hit me.
"What?" Kaoru questioned, looking to the others in the room who had been staring, who quickly turned away.
He furrowed his brows, looking back at my sad expression.
"I'm not that desperate for attention. I don't even like attention."
"I know, I'll put an end to it." He stood up, walking over to his own desk, and whispering something to Hikaru. I watched them for a second, then sighed, facing forward.
The teacher eventually made his way in, his eyes immediately spotting me. He smiled, pulling a paper from his desk and placing it on mine.
"Welcome back, Miss (L/n). I'm sorry to hear what happened, how are you feeling?" He looked at my arm, but I smiled.
"Better, thank you." He nodded, returning to the front of the room.
"Let's all welcome back (Y/n), who recently went through a horrible event. We are all glad you're okay, and are back safely. The class all clapped for me, and I gave a light smile.
I finally looked down at the paper on my desk, realizing it was the project Kaoru and I did. We made a 100, he must have presented it while I was gone. I turned back and smiled to him, which he returned kindly, giving me a thumbs up.
"Alright class turn to page..."~lunch time, in the host club~
I sat in the corner and watched as the hosts swooned the girls. I never really understand how they fell for it so easily. It's obviously so fake.
I took a bite of my sand which, leaning back in my chair and letting my eyes shift to each host. Usually I'd read while eating, but that's pretty friggin hard to do with one arm.
I sighed, setting down the sand which and adjusting the sling so it sat more comfortably.
When I was finished, to male students I never met came and sat down across from me, each boy a little nervous.
"May I help you?" I raised my brow. How did they sneak in without Kyoya seeing?
"W-we're sorry. We know you aren't a host b-but we just wanted to talk to you." The one on the left said. I raised my brow, again, and noticed Kyoya, no, the whole club making their over.
"Excuse me, gentlemen, may I ask what you're doing?" Kyoya said, grabbing one by the shoulder.
"S-Sorry! We just wanted to talk to (Y/n)! We were too scared to approach her in class!"
"A-a lot of guys are! We were all so worried about her a-and-!"
"We brought her these!" The other finished, pulling out a bouquet of flowers from under the table, holding them towards me. I blushed, looking up and seeing Kyoya hatching some kind of idea. Oh no.
"I think maybe bringing (Y/n) in as a host would be a good idea."
No no no.
"She does have the beauty, and quite the fan club."
No no no no no.
"And she's watched us for a while, she'll know what to do."
"Then it's settled!" Tamaki pointed a finger to me, a grin on his face.
"Starting today, (Y/n) will be our female host!"
My eyes widened, as I shook my head. "T-there's no way I could!"
"What type would she be, boss?" The twins asked, as they all completely ignored me. I sighed, becoming grouchy.
"Selfless." Mori bluntly said, causing everyone to perk up.
"Yeah, the selfless type. The girl who never thinks of herself!" Tamaki cheered, rubbing my head. I sighed, for probably the twentieth time today. What could it hurt to try out hosting?"It's hard to have etiquette with one arm." I deadpanned, watching as Tamaki tried to show me how to 'host'.
"Why not have her try out her skills on someone? Like a test run." Kyoya suggested, as Tamaki got ready to offer himself, the twins took a seat in front of me.
"Okay, (Y/n), host us."
I raised my brow, but brushed my hair behind my ear, and smiled to them as cutely as I could. "Come on, guys. I'm a little shy, you know I'm not gonna be any good, but please go easy on me?" I batted my eyelashes, inwardly gagging at myself. The twins faces tinted a bit as they stared at me. I looked away bashfully, twirling a strand of my hair between my fingers.
"Look at them, their speechless!" Tamaki laughed as the twins shook their blushes off and turned away.
"W-whatever." They both spoke as they walked away. I smiled, standing up. "Fine, I guess I'll give it a go, but I can't do anything extreme with how my arm is."
"That's fine, no worries." Kyoya shook my good hand, and gave me a smile. "Welcome to the host club!"
