The school gates opened, revealing the lush greenery of Premier Model School with well-manicured gardens and neatly trimmed hedges lining the walkways. The scent of fresh flowers filled the air, adding to the natural beauty of the school surrounding them them uki. It was a breathtaking sight, one that drew admiration from anyone who set foot in the school.

Premier Model School was a boarding school that prided itself on providing quality education to its students. The buildings were grand and impressive, with the administrative building towering over the others. The classrooms were spacious and well-equipped, providing the perfect environment for learning. The school had a library, a laboratory, and a sports field, catering to the various needs of its students.

Adesuwa took a moment to survey her surroundings, enjoying the lively scene before her. Students were milling about, pulling their suitcases behind them and chatting excitedly with one another, clearly happy to be back from their short break. Adesuwa couldn't help but smile to herself as she reflected on her own situation - she was on the cusp of graduating from secondary school, and the thought of leaving filled her with a sense of eager anticipation.

"Adesuwa," Tina called running towards Adesuwa with her hands wide up, ready for a hug.

"Hey, how are you doing?" She asked hugging her best friend.

"What do you think?" Tina pulled away from the hug grinning widely. "I'm fine obviously. So how was your hols(holiday)?"

Adesuwa could tell from Tina's tone that she was incredibly excited about the holiday and couldn't wait to share all the details. "It was just there, nothing much. What about yours?"

"Well..." she smiled widely as she dragged her word.

Adesuwa shook her head with a small chuckle. "You can tell me all about it when we get to the hostel."

"Okay, that's better because I have full, long gist for you." Tina said jumping with a squeal.

"Yes ma'am. Let's go and check in because the way Mrs Arinze is staring at us like we are trying to sneak in contrabands." Adesuwa said looking towards the canopies for checking in.

"Yeah, let's go check in." She concluded after taking a look at Mrs Arinze who was constantly stealing a glance at them. "Seriously, can't she act discreet?" Tina asked a frown marring her dark face.

They were about to go when Tina stopped Adesuwa. "I hope you are not with any contraband?" She asked raising a brow

Adesuwa gave her the 'are you serious look' and then chuckled. "I should be the one asking. Of course I'm not with any contraband. I'm a model student." She proudly announced.

Tina rolled her eyes. "Model my foot. Abegi, I was just asking." She defended herself.

Adesuwa smiled and shook her head, marveling at the fact that she had a friend like Tina. Despite their differences, Adesuwa knew that Tina was one of the few people in her life for whom she would be willing to risk everything.

After checking in, they proceeded straight to their hostel. Adesuwa was still in disbelief that she was now a senior finalist. With only a short time left in secondary school, she knew that university, NYSC, finding a job, getting married, and having children were all on the horizon. She caught herself drifting off and quickly refocused on the present moment.

"Adesuwa, Tina," she heard someone call out their names. They were in the midst of arranging their belongings in the hostel when Adesuwa noticed Chioma, her second closest friend, rushing in. She looked up to greet her.
