I walked inside my room, it was already 7am and clean up had already began  round the hostels. I collapsed on my bed as nostalgic moment of last night and this morning came flooding in. I stood at the junction between the girls hostel and the boys hostel with Kezz

" Okay, ummh goodbye" I said and let go of his hand. Yeah we held hands during our walk to back to the hostel.

I began to walk towards the girls hostel when I heard footsteps coming behind me, I turned to see Kezz a feet away.

" Ummh" he lowered his head a little and played with his fingers. I wondered why he is acting this way " Adesuwa, thanks for saving me. I don't know what would have happened to me if you weren't there"

I smiled. He looked cute thanking me " you're welcome Kezz "

I turned away from him and entered the hostel.

" What happened last night" Tina words brought me out of fantasy land.

Startled but I had to compose myself, I couldn't tell Tina I spent a night with my sworn enemy, we kissed and we were also touchy. No I couldn't, I wouldn't. I'll just have to tell her a white lie.

" I couldn't make it to the hostel on time, I thought the rain would stop but it didn't till early this morning" I lied. I didn't lie, just missed out some details.

" Where did you sleep" she asked concern

" In the classroom"

Her face held shock but I waved it off, telling her to forget about it, I didn't want more interrogations or I might just spill the beans.

" Would you be going for social night today" Tina asked as she lay her bed

I shook my head " you know me already Tina, so why so you bother asking me this question every Saturday"

" I just want you to change your mind. For God sake, how can you graduate without experiencing social night for a day" she tried to reason with me.

" I'm fine Tina, I'm not going for social night" I replied and laid back on my bed pulling my blanket to cover me.

Tina woke me up as it's time for morning dining ( breakfast). On Saturdays the time for breakfast is usually 10am because of the regular inspection but SS3 students are to be in the dining hall by 8am because of the Saturday maths and English lessons.

We walked out of the hostel in our casual wear and met up with Chioma. Casual wear are allowed only on Saturdays since it is a no class day. On Sundays there are no classes but we do go for night prep.

We walked silently or maybe I thought they were silent, I was so sleepy, I couldn't have a good night sleep last night because one, I was with Kezz, I was a bit wary of him at first but then I felt too comfortable with him. Two, the rain. Three, the black out. Four, I was so uncomfortable sleeping on the floor. Five, the first four put together, mainly the second and third.

We finally reached the dinning hall, I am so happy that I could rest my head on the table and sleep. Immediately we stepped in, I left Tina and Chioma who were walking so slow and ran to our table. When I got there it was empty, Josh and Tony weren't present. I laid my head and was carried to dreamland.

I felt something moving on my body, I swiped it away with my hand and continued my precious sleep. It became so persistent that I had to wake up

" Can't someone have a peaceful sleep" I groaned glaring at Josh, The culprit.

He laughed and shrugged. I turned to see Tina and Chioma laughing too. I huffed in annoyance of course make fun of me.

I was about to lay back when I caught Kezz staring at me. We stared at each other from where we sat then he let out a small smile. I smiled back.

" Why are you smiling" Chioma asked

I immediately removed my gaze from Kezz so they wouldn't be able to trace it to him and focused on Tony who let his poker face slide and let in a concern emotion.

" Nothing" I said dryly " can I go back to sleep now" I begged

" Didn't you get enough sleep last night" Josh asked and I shook my head.

" Why" Tony questioned

" She didn't sleep in the hostel last night, she slept in class" Tina answered

" What!!!" They all exclaimed

Here we go questions.

" Why?" Tony

" How come?" Josh

" I thought you're scared of the dark especially when it rains?' Chioma

I stiffened at what Chioma said as the cruel images I never wanted to see again began to play.

"Chioma " Tina hissed

" Oh my gosh" she said with her hand over her mouth

" I'm so sorry Adesuwa, I never meant to say that. I...I don't know... I'm so sorry"

I barely heard what she said after that, I did my best to push those images to the back of my mind. I looked up to meet Kezz worried stare from his table. I smiled to assure him I was fine.

" Adesuwa" Tina called warily

I faced her and Chioma " it's okay, I'm fine. Chioma didn't mean to do it"

Tony stood up from where he sat and came to my side, Josh stood up quickly from side and went to sit on Tony seat while Tony took his.

" You can lay your head on my shoulder" he offered

I stared at him with wide eyes, did he just tell me to lay my head on his shoulder, I grinned widely. Tony is just so full of surprises.
