I increased my pace, and kept hoping he hasn't left the garden, I knew I was late, terribly late a hour and thirty minutes late. I knew it was crazy for me to think he'd wait this long, I was sure he had already given up but I wanted to make it there at least.

I finally got to the love garden, I searched around looking for the sign of anybody waiting. Why didn't he give me a clue?

I was about to give up and head to the class when a hand covered my face, I touched the hand trying to guess who it was but couldn't come to a conclusion.

I huffed " I give up" I said and the hand let go of my eyes, chuckling. I turned to see tony. " Tony?!"

"Hey Adesuwa" he grinned " surprised?"

I nodded " extremely" I didn't let my smile falter, I tried my best to keep my smile a genuine one.

Silence fell in between us, an awkward one. I looked around fidgeting with the hem of my kaftan top. Why did he call me here?

"Would you like to go to Nwanyi Enugu shop?" He asked smugly

I let out a bright smile, a genuine one. This is the best day of my life in premier model. Nwanyi Enugu is a very expensive woman, she sells igbo local dishes at school and only on Sundays. Seeing as I'm a scholarship student and my parents are not janded I can't afford anything related to Nwanyi Enugu.

"You're paying for everything" I said just to be clarified.

He chuckled and nodded with his hands in his pockets. I giggled in return and pulled him into a hug with my hands around his neck, he stiffened a bit but then encircled my waist.

"Thank you so much. You just made my day" I whispered in his ear.

One hour and thirty something minutes ago, I was complaining of being hungry and being broke but now I'm going to eat in Nwanyi Enugu shop even though I'll still be broke after today. I decided not to go for evening dinning and just enjoy whatever Tony buys for me there besides our dinner today is a piece of boiled yam and fish stew.

We got to her shop and it seemed like she was already closing for the week. I panicked inside, I couldn't loose this once in a lifetime opportunity.

"Wait here, I'm coming" Tony said and walked up to her.

I watched as the conversed discreetly and then I noticed her features. She is a plump woman with large boobs and bulgy eyes, her hair was made into cornrows, I noticed it wasn't her real hair, she added attachment to it. Finally Tony walked up to me smiling.

"She agreed?"

"Yeah"

"How? Why? What happened?"

"I just pulled a little string" he shrugged it off as nothing.

I corked an eyebrow, wanting him to explain further.

He inhaled deeply his face turning into a scowl " do you want to go in or keep interrogating me?"

I shook my head and walked in the direction of the shop, I was annoyed but I can't put my food at stake because of annoyance. After a while Tony walked in and sat on one of the plastic chair beside me.

"Hey, I'm sorry about that"

I pretended not hear him and he sighed and moved his chair closer to me then he took my hand and enclosed it in his.

"I'm really sorry Adesuwa, I didn't mean to"

I looked at him and his face held sincerity. I nodded and he smiled.

"So what would you like to eat?"

"Abacha" he chuckled at my quick response and went to meet her. I didn't need to think about it at all. Everyone talks about how good her abacha is.

Tony returned later and took a seat next to me. " She's coming"

I nodded and folded my hand waiting patiently for my food.

"I'm glad you came" he said out of the blues.

"I'm glad to" I told him sincerely. If I hadn't come, I wouldn't be here at Nwanyi Enugu shop, I would have been in that stupid dinning hall eating a piece of yam and fish stew as dinner.

Nwanyi Enugu came and served the both of us abacha with small, small pomo, a big fish was placed on top and then she brought a bottle of maltina each. Immediately she left I dived in forgetting about Tony who was seating next to me chuckling.
