Chapter twenty

Adesuwa POV

One word for last night fantastic. We were back together, I wouldn't say back since we weren't dating but we were getting there.

Exams has finally begun and I was beaming with joy as I walked to class with Chioma and Tina. I couldn't get Kezz out of my head at all... Simi and Praiz song out of my head was what my life had turned into.

"This one Adesuwa dey smile like say she done win lottery" chioma asked as she observed me

I blushed and then tried to keep my face neutral....I better convince them I'm happy because of the exam and not because of Kezz.

"We've started exam na" I replied

"We can see that but it's not the main thing making you happy" Tina added with calculating eyes.

"Abi, you don't get bobo?" Chioma asked again earning a deep blush from me

"No na, abeg can't somebody be happy again"

"Ok ooo, mah zip my mouth" she zipped the imaginary zipper on her lips.

I noticed Tina was staring intently at me but I pretended not to take notice.

"Adesuwa" I heard that voice that sends shiver to my spine, Kezz.

I turned to see him jogging towards me, towards us...towards us!!! I panicked. We talked about this last night, I didn't think he'd do it in public, where the whole school can see.

"Hey, good morning" he greeted as he came to halt in my front.

I gauge Tina and Chioma look_it was filled with shock more of Chioma.

"Morning" I waved shyly at him

"You're going to  the classroom right?"

I nodded. Of course I'm going to the classroom where else would I be going to_ the dinning you moron.

"Guys" Kezz called signaling to his friends to crossover and join us. "We'll walk you to class, hope there's no problem with that"

I shook my head. Tina had recovered from her shocked state quickly but Chioma was still dazed.  Kezz took his position next to me and then interlocked our fingers. I knew this was going to be the talk of the school for the day.

"Hey Adesuwa" Saif greeted and took the position between me and Tina then quickly Bayo manoeuvred his way beside Tina and decided to engage her in a talk.

"I'm Bayo" he stretched his hand out for a handshake, Tina eyed the hands warily and replied.

"I know that"

"O.....k" Bayo dragged out his vibes dying slowly from the attitude Tina was exhibiting but he didn't give up he kept going.

I tuned myself out of their talk and turned to the grinning figure next to me.

"What are you doing" I whisper yelled as I felt our interlocked hands separate and he stood in front of me halting our friends  steps.

"Ummh" he scratched his back hair, his courage dwindling by the second.

I watched his nervous act with a confused face but from my side view I could see Saif trying to hold a smile.

"Close your eyes" he said

"Ummh...why?"

"Just do it " he pleaded. 

I turned to Saif and he gave me a go ahead nod then Bayo a simple smile, my friends...well they were also confused and curious but I spotted a knowing look in Tina's eyes one she tried to hide. I looked around to see that some students had already stopped to watch. Aren't they supposed to head to class for last minute reading?

I closed my eyes.

I felt something cold touch my neck, I tried to feel it but someone held my hands stopping them then I felt hot breath next to my ear causing my breath to hitch.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
