Adesuwa POV

Tony was wrong. He didn't get back to his normal self, he avoided me like plague. I made attempts to talk to him but all yielded unfruitful, he stopped coming to the dinning hall, he was never in class except in the morning during exams and that's when the invigilator was present then he leaves immediately he is done with his papers.

The holidays was fast approaching and I needed to settle my differences with Tony but then how can I settle my differences with him when I can't even talk to him.

"Gosh I can't believe this" Chioma squealed "we're done with exams" she twirled around hopping, doing what I presume ballet? Horrible

"Yeah, we're done. We have to start reading for Jamb second term is fast approaching" I said as I packed my books inside my Ghana must go bag.

"Chill, abeg your blood too they boil, your body dey hot. Make second term reach first" Chioma said with her hands akimbo. " Abi I no talk true?" she turned to Tina.

Tina nodded. She looked around like she was searching for someone or something. I'm sure she didn't hear what Chioma said.

"Did you even hear what Chioma said?" I tapped her. She jolted but nodded anyways.

As if spotting What she was looking for she said " I'll see you guys later" and she left.

"Something is wrong" Chioma said, detective mode activated.

"How? I don't get?"

"She..."

"What's up babe" Kezz walked up to us and planted a kiss on my lips. I moaned as I let him in.

"Abeg oo human beings are here ooo" she rolled her eyes immediately we pulled away.

"Hey, Chioma what's up" he greeted as he pulled me up, sat on my chair and pulled me to sit on his lap just then Tony walked in.

Our eyes locked and he halted. We stared at each other for a long time before he shifted his gaze to Kezz hands that were wrapped on my waist then he moved his gaze around me, his jaw clenching as he saw my sitting position but then all emotions were wiped off.

"Tony" Chioma waved at him, signalling him to come over.

He did.

And the tension in the air thickened.

Kezz cleared his throat, I guess trying to break the tension that Chioma created.

"Tony"

"Kezz"

All was said between them.

Tony turned his gaze towards Chioma and then corked a brow.

"Just wanted to say hi" she smiled sheepishly but Tony didn't return it instead he nodded his head and went to his seat got what he came for and left.

"You'll be coming for social night right?" Kezz asked

"I..."

"She'll be there. I'll even tie her up if she refuses" Chioma chirped in.

Kezz nodded. Kissed my neck and stood up.

"I have to go now. Got to meet up with Bayo and the rest"

I nodded and he gave me one last peck on the lips before leaving the classroom.

"Why did you call Tony here?" I whispered yelled at Chioma.

"You're the one that has be asking me too much about tony" she shrugged like she has done nothing " come sef what happened between you and Tony, he didn't even spare you a glance"

"I don't want to talk about it" I replied zipping the Ghana must go bag.

"You must ooo! I will tell you the truth, you're loosing friends" she sat on my desk cross legged.

I didn't understand what she said so I waved it off.

"Tony likes me. He told me that night of my birthday"

I waited for the wide eyes and exclamation but none came.

"Did you just hear what I said?"

"I'm not deaf Adesuwa but then you're probably the blind one not see that Tony has been head over heels for you"

"You knew!" I was shocked. " Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because it was not in my place to tell besides I'm more shocked he told you" she stood up adjusting her day wear gown. " I need to meet up with Josh and I'm kinda late. See you later" she added and left.

As I walked to the toilet I let what Chioma said sink in. She knew Tony liked me, if she knows I wonder who else knows. I groaned loudly at my stupidity of not noticing the signs.....it had been there all this while.

Still in my line of thoughts I bumped into someone, Janet. Come to think of it, I've not been seeing her around.

"Sorry" I apologised and was about to go when she stopped me.

I looked at the hand on my arm and raised my eyebrow at her. She didn't falter neither did she remove it.

"I like you a lot" she started and I stared at her confused. " You're very pretty, smart and intelligent"

"Ummmh...thank you" not sure of what to say. Why was Janet Adebayo complimenting me.

"But you haven't been so smart recently"

Ok that was an insult. " What do you want Janet" I asked with a dry expression.

"Nothing much" she pulled her hand away from my arm as she admire her nails.

I folded my arms in annoyance at her behaviour.

"You think you have everything don't you?"

What?

"The scholar girl" she scoffed " I wonder how you got that scholarship... you're not bright"

She just complimented me and now she saying the opposite of everything.

"Tread on careful part with Kezz. It's a warning, an advise, take it whatever way you want but just listen to me"

"Are you telling me to stay away from Kezz?" I scoffed this girl is delusional. " You should forget about having anything to do with Kezz, what ever you guys had in the past is the past. I am his present and future."

She laughed a sarcastic one " of course Mrs present and future."

She turned and continue down the hall but before she took the nearest corner she halted and turned back.

"You're close to Saif the most, he knows" and like that she walked away leaving me to stand alone in the toilet passage trying to decipher her last sentence.
