Finally our continuous assessment was coming to an end and I couldn't wait to finish it. The last paper we were writing was chemistry.

" Put your books in your locker" Mrs Ogunsuyi announced as she stepped into the classroom.

I could hear gasp and murmurs from some of my classmates. I pity all those people who were planning to cheat, there is no way anybody will be able to cheat with Mrs Ogunsuyi invigilating.

Mrs Ogunsuyi is like a terror unleashed in premier model, everyone fears her even some of her fellow teachers. We they students of premier model gave her a nickname, bull dog not because of her attitude but because she really looks like one. Everyone calls her bull dog even some teacher, I still wonder who gave her the name, it has been there right from when I was a junior student.

I clearly remember the day she stood in for my geography teacher, my class which was a very noisy one was as quiet as a grave. That day while she dictated her note I decided to rest my head on my locker and write as she dictate but unfortunately for me she thought I was sleeping so she quietly walked up to me and the next thing I felt was a huge pain in back, she had hit me, that was not all, she also told me to take my book and go lie on the passage floor, where everyone even those not in my class can see me and I stayed there till the end of her lesson.

Quickly everybody dropped their books in the locker. Test she wrote on the maker board after writing all the questions, she started moving around invigilating.

The test was very easy and we were to answer only three out of four questions, well it was very easy for me but some of my classmates were already chewing their pen, some were trying to look into their friends work but discreetly while some had already given up .

" What is this" I heard Mrs Ogunsuyi ask midway to the test.

I turned to see her picking up a piece of paper close to me almost everyone stopped writing to watch what was happening while some took it as an opportunity to copy from their friends. She opened it and went through it still keeping us in suspense. When she was done I felt her hand collide with my back

" You are cheating" she said with disgust.

I looked shocked.

" Ma, I don't own that paper"

"You don't own it?" She crossed check the handwriting on the piece of paper and on my answer sheet, it was actually these same
" Are you seeing it, it's the same. You come here" she pointed at Chioma who was next to me

Chioma immediately rushed to her side " ma"

" This handwriting are they these same?"

Tears had already filled my eyes, of course the handwritings are these same. Chioma nodded.

I tried to defend myself " Ma..."

She cut me off with a slap " go outside and kneel down. Your paper is cancelled and I will take this to the principal" she stated " and the rest of you" she turned to the class "if you like keep on watching the drama, you have five minutes left"

I knelt down outside, under the scorching sun. I tried to keep my tears from flowing out of my eyes. I didn't do it, there's no way I would cheat. The only thing that kept running through my mind was my scholarship, if this get to the principal my scholarship will be off.

I lowered my head on my locker. Test was over, everybody was back to their playful self. I sat on my locker crying. It was Friday so, the reports weren't made. I couldn't stop the tears from flowing, I felt a hand on my back.

"Hey" I heard Tony's voice. He pulled a seat next to me and sat down but I didn't raise my head " Adesuwa, it's okay, everyone knows you didn't cheat, everyone knows you're extremely intelligent. It's okay you should stop crying"

" I should stop crying" I said in between tears " I'm going to loose my scholarship Tony, do you think our principal or Mrs Ogunsuyi will listen to anyone, they believe in prove "

" How did that paper get there" i heard Tina ask. I looked up to see my friends around me

" I don't know" I replied

" Adesuwa, you need to stop crying, you'll have a serious headache" Justice said rubbing my back

" When I was coming to class, I overheard Alice telling some that I was caught cheating. She told them a whole different story"

" I swear I'm going to kill that bitch" Tony threatened

" You are not killing anyone apart from Kezz" Joshua said

" Why do you say so" I asked cleaning my tears

" It's obvious, he's trying to get you out of this school and he's trying every method"

"Apart from that I saw him talking to Chris " Nosa added coming to join us

" Which Chris?" Chioma asked

" Chris Martin" he answered

Chris Martin is the guy who seats behind the guy next to me. I stared at Nosa, giving him the why do you think so look.

" Look I'm not sure but isn't it a little strange, Kezz has never spoken to anyone apart from his friends and then he speaks with Chris almost before we wrote chemistry" Nosa reasoned

I pondered on what he said, will Kezz actually do this to me?. Everything came flooding back into my mind. Chris asked me to explain something for him in chemistry, when I was done he took the paper saying he wanted to study it.

" That bastard" I cursed

" What happened" they questioned.

I looked around trying to find Chris but he wasn't in the classroom

" Nosa is right, Chris did this. He came to meet me for help in solving some questions before the test, that was exactly what came out in test" I explained

" I don't think you'll find Chris anywhere" Nosa said and we nodded in agreement

" The main problem here is how are we going to explain this to Mrs Ogunsuyi and the principal" Justice said making all our hopes to crumble.
