"Daddy, do you see him?" Taehyung asked, his death-grip on his father's hand not letting up as they made their way down to the high school's football field. People were pushing past them on all sides to see the graduated students that took up the vast space. Someone stepped on Taehyung's foot and Yoongi picked him up, placing him on his hip as he continued to walk down to the field. "I'm not tall, Tae. All these people are blocking my view," he huffed, squinting through his glasses to try and pick out Hoseok.

Eventually, they found Hoseok taking a picture with his family on the forty-fifth yard-line, his black hair a slight mess from taking off his cap. After the photo was taken, he noticed Yoongi anf Taehyung, who had a rose in his hand as he held onto his father. The graduate smiled widely and jogged over to them, wrapping them both in a hug. "You're here!" he yelled semi-brokenly, eyes starting to well up with tears. "Of course we made it, Hobi!" Yoongi replied with a laugh. "I watched you grow up! We aren't missing this for anything. I'm proud of you."

He set Taehyung down and pulled Hoseok into a proper hug, ruffling his hair as he let go. The young boy tugged on Hoseok's graduation gown, catching his attention. Hoseok bent down and held his arms out, catching Taehyung in a big hug. "Oh, my baby," he sighed and spun the eight-year-old around, making him giggle and squeal in delight. When they stopped, he held the rose out proudly. "For you," he said with his little boxy smile plastered to his face. Hoseok gladly accepted the rose, pointing to his cheek, silently asking for a kiss.

Yoongi watched the two as they talked and blocked out the world around him. Taehyung was getting older now and was beginning to realize that he was growing up, and Hoseok was going to become a biology teacher. He silently dreaded the day that Taehyung would graduate high school. Hoseok would be twenty-eight then. Yoongi's only son would be a fresh adult with a child's mind; anything and everything could go wrong. He didn't want either one of them to get hurt, especially his little lion cub.

For now, he simply enjoyed living in the moment. "How about we head home and celebrate, yeah?" Yoongi suggested, resting a hand on Hoseok's shoulder. The young man nodded in agreement. "My parents are fine with it. And I'm tired," he said, shifting Taehyung to his right hip as they began to make their way back to their cars.

"Daddy?" Taehyung asked quietly as he snuck into Yoongi's room. Yoongi frowned and turned on the lamp on hi bedside table. "You're up really late, Tae. Why aren't you laying with Hoseok?" he asked groggily as he put his glasses on, but paused when he noticed the tears falling down his son's face. "Come here, Taehyung," he said gently, holding his arms out as his son crawled up onto the bed and into his lap.

He held his son close and rocked him, shushing him and kissing his head every now and then. Taehyung held onto his father's neck tightly as he slowly stopped sobbing as hard as he initially was. "I d-don't want H-Hobi to-to l-leave," he sobbed out, bottom lip quivering as he tried to compose himself, but to no avail.

And Yoongi's heart broke for Taehyung.

He used a hand to wipe away all the tears. "But he'll come visit when he can and he'll be here over the summer," he reasoned, but the little boy shook his head. "I don't want him to go! I don't want Jungkook-hyung to be my new babysitter! I just want Hoseok-hyung!"

Taehyung had serious attachment issues, but Yoongi knew why. He was rarely ever home due to his job in music production and Hoseok had become a major part of his life. He knew Taehyung loved him so much; of course he would fight the reality of Hoseok going to college.

Yoongi sighed and wiped a few more tears away. "Taehyung, you're getting older. You're growing up and you have to learn that you need to be independent. This will be good for you." He lifted the silver chain that hung from his son's neck, displaying a promise ring. "See this? Hoseok is yours and you are his. He'll never leave you. This time away from him will be good for you to grow, okay? And besides," he smiled lightly, poking Taehyung's chest. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder and wiser, right?" The young boy nodded and sniffled, then showed his best smile that he could conjure up.

Yoongi carried Taehyung back to his room, where Hoseok was spread out on the bed. His mouth hung open as he slept, hands resting on the pillow above his head. The father smiled at the sight, then leaned down to shake his shoulder. "Hobi," he whispered, "Wake up, honey." Taehyung rested his head on his father's shoulder, watching him attempt to wake the sleeping teenager up.

The first words out of Hoseok's mouth were, "Where's my baby?" He searched the bed in a sleepy panic, but Yoongi touched his arm and made him stop. "He's right here, Hoseok. Here," he sighed, kissing Taehyung's cheek before he set him down on the bed. Almost immediately, he crawled into Hoseok's lap and tucked himself into his chest. The graduate wrapped his arms around him and kissed his head.

"Baby, you had me worried," Hoseok mumbled sleepily, but Taehyung just giggled lightly. "You're cute when you sleep," he shyly replied. Yoongi smiled fondly at them and yawned. "Okay, kiddos," he sighed out, gaining their attention, "You need to get to bed. Also, you guys need to talk in the morning." Hoseok frowned, but he nodded anyways and laid down under the covers, bringing Taehyung with him.

Taehyung buried his face in the crook of the older boy's neck. Hoseok kissed his head once again and settled down with a content hum. "I love you so much, Tae-baby," he sighed. Yoongi didn't have to look to know that his son was holding tight to the eighteen-year-old and probably kissed his jaw. "I love you more, Hobi-hyung."

"Not possible," Yoongi objected, sitting down on the very edge of the bed. "I love you most."

With that, he leaned down and kissed Taehyung's head, then Hoseok's forehead. "Sleep," he deadpanned, then went back to bed.
