with a bit of VHope and YoonSeok, too. everybody loves Hobi.

Yoongi didn't want to be a father. He really didn't. He was too busy chasing his dream for kids. But when he accidentally got his girlfriend pregnant, he had absolutely no clue what to do. During the pregnancy, they fought a lot. They fought so much that he woke up one cold November to a half-empty apartment and a note that ended the relationship.

But around a year later, his ex had found his new address and showed up at his house with his chubby little son on her hip, a large duffel bag of all of his belongings in it over her shoulder. She said she couldn't take care of him anymore and that her family didn't want 'what came from that Min trash,' so now the baby was Yoongi's responsibility. And that night, the stone-cold teddy bear named Min Yoongi cried so hard that he upset his son, who cried all night with him.

Now though, Yoongi accepted his new reality of being Taehyung's father while still being a music producer. He somehow balances his career and have time for his rather strange six-year-old son. Since Yoongi tended to go on business trips and work late nights, so he hired his sixteen-year-old neighbor Jung Hoseok to be Taehyung's babysitter. The high school dismissed about an hour later than the elementary school, so the little boy was usually in the after-school program until Hoseok came to pick him up.

In all honesty, Yoongi loved his life. Sure, it was difficult being a Daesang-winning producer and a father all at once, but he loved every second of it. It didn't matter that he would have arguments every time the school nurse called, parent-teacher conferences were held, or about going to see the plays Taehyung starred in every year. It didn't matter that he had to leave Taehyung in the Jungs' care every time he had to leave on business trips. It didn't matter that the kid had his bad moments and Yoongi had his. All of that was worth it when he received cute pictures colored or drawn by the strange six-year-old to hang around his office and every 'I love you, Daddy' he received. Yoongi wouldn't have it any other way.

The house was totally dark when Yoongi came home around 11:30pm. Normally, he would find Hoseok asleep on the couch with Taehyung dead asleep on top of him or doing AP homework in Taehyung's room while the kid slept. But the sound of piano music drifting down the stairs reassured Yoongi that everything was fine as he slipped his jacket and shoes off and made his way up to Taehyung's room.

Sure enough, both Taehyung and his babysitter were asleep in Taehyung's twin bed, Hoseok awkwardly trying to make his lanky body fit on the bed while still cuddling the little boy to his chest. Yoongi internally cooed and snapped a photo of the pair before he carefully made his way over to the bed. "Hoseok, wake up," he whispered as he gently shook the teen, who groaned as he opened his eyes and stretched.

"Hi, Yoongi-hyung," he whispered and Yoongi smiled at him as he sat up. "How was he?" Hoseok sighed sleepily and gazed down at the young boy, running his hand through the soft brown hair lovingly. "He was good. I made dumplings for dinner. And he missed you, so he got upset. But that's about it." Yoongi nodded and gave Hoseok $100.

"Thanks for dealing with my kid, Sunshine. It's late and I don't care if you live next door. Go take the guest room. I'll make you breakfast in the morning," he mumbled and hugged the teenager, who smiled thankfully and shook Taehyung awake. The little boy rubbed his eyes as he sat up, hair all mussed from sleep. "I'll be in the guest room, okay? Your daddy's home," Hoseok mumbled and pecked Taehyung's forehead softly. "I love you, Hobi," the six-year-old mumbled and he left a sloppy kiss on his babysitter's cheek, earning a pat on the head and a hum. "I love you too, baby."

Once Hoseok was gone, Yoongi lifted his son into his arms and kissed his cheek. "I missed you, Lion Cub. Lay with me tonight," he mumbled as Taehyung tucked himself into his father's chest, cocooning his stuffed lion in between them. Yoongi's heart ached at how tight his son was holding him; it was obvious he was greatly missed and as if he would never be seen again. It made him realize that he needed to take some time off work and really only focus on his son for a while. He didn't want the poor boy to feel neglected and unloved.
