Chapter 8: The Work Begins

I was pacing in my room back and forward, back and forward being all anxious while Kai was sitting on my bed with the Wild Lions file on his lap, looking at me.
"How am I supposed to do this?!" I said worried.
"You've gone undercover before haven't you?"
"Yes, but not for something this big and dangerous!!" I said panicking. Kai patted the bed beside him signaling me to sit down.
"Alexa, it's really late. You should get some sleep, it's a big day tomorrow!"
I lay down on my bed as Kai got up to leave. "Tell me about it" I whispered to myself.

I woke up bright and early to get ready for my new job. I had no idea what to wear?? Something formal, bad girl style or a servant outfit! I decided to go with a servant look.
I quickly drank some coffee before I left and then met up with Kai who was waiting outside my house with a sleek fancy car.
"You ready?"
"Let's do this!" I replied confidently although I felt nothing like it.
Hunter had sent me an address and time for me to go to for my job. We arrived at a very fancy looking mansion which stood proudly overshadowing beautiful hedged gardens below. There was a mossy cobblestone path which led from the iron gates to the white mansion which was overgrown with ivy. No one would have a clue that a mafia's headquarters would be here!

Kai drove away a few blocks, but remained close enough if I needed help.
I walked up to the mansion, admiring it while walking up, taking deep breaths.

I knocked on the fancy wood door with a gold frame around it. It took a while before anyone opened it. When the door opened I had the biggest shock in my life!
"Allie?!"
"Shhh, come on!" She hushed.
My friend from the police force was also here dressed as a servant! She led me inside the mansion which looked so rustic and strangely cozy. We passed the library in which I saw a lot of important looking people talking. The boss must be somewhere in there I thought. At the end of the corridor there was a set of stairs going down.
"This is our workplace" said Allie.

We walked down the stairs and a delicious smell of food hit me. "They expect nice food from us everyday" Said Allie.
We went inside an old but big spacious kitchen, full of cooks rushing around the place. At the back I saw Estella!
She ran over to me "Oh boy am I glad to see you!" She said hugging me tightly.
Everyone in the room was looking at us.
"Don't strangle the poor girl" laughed Allie.
Estella let go of me and giggled but quickly turned away, she was hiding something on her face. I gently lifted her head up and saw a red cheek.
"They, hit me.." she said holding her cheek. I was shocked! I felt so bad for us all, having to work here all because of me and my stupid actions.

"Why are yous even here?" I said whispering.
"We are your backup" replied Allie whispering. I felt a sense of relief knowing my 2 friends were here with me and even Kai. Allie looked at the clock and gasped. "Uh oh we need to serve them, it's 11!"
She ran up to the plates of food laying on the counter and poured wine into glasses.
"Here" she practically threw them at me. "It's your chance to meet them"
I carefully held the plates and gulped. I walked through the door and up the stairs.

I was so nervous, that's I wasn't looking at where I was going! I ended up bumping into a beautiful women with silky blonde hair, she looked like a real model, every women would die to look like her. I ended up spilling all the food on top of her and falling down! Her strapless red dress was all ruined and her hair was all wet and messed up!
She looked up at me with the iciest, angriest glare that I've ever seen. She pumped up her chest and pointed her finger right at me!
"You filthy beast, look what you have done!!! Do you really wanna mess with me!?" She screamed. "Do you know how much this dress is?!"
Well, she was a spoilt little princess, wasn't she?

"Look I'm extremely sorry-" No I wasn't actually sorry!
"Sorry!? Sorry is not going to cut it!!" She held her hand up high, she was about to slap me! She swung her hand with all her might-  But she just wasn't quick enough! I caught her hand midpoint with ease and held it tightly while she tried to wriggle out! She may be a princess, but I'm a queen I said to myself.
I know I wasn't supposed to act like this but I do not let people mess with me!
"Listen here princess, I don't know you but stop acting like the world revolves around you! Cause it doesn't!" I hate those type of people!
She kept squealing but then she had enough. She swung my arm off and screamed "HUNTER!!"

Hunter came rushing in. "What's wrong Rachel, my damsel in distress?!" He shouted with a hint of annoyance in his voice but he stopped when he saw me.
"Alexa.."
He was looking at me surprised. He shook his head and crossed his arms and looked at me in a sexy, angry way.
He turned to look at Rachel.
"What did she do?" He asked Rachel while glaring at me and putting an arm around Rachel. I secretly raised me eyebrow and mouthed what to Hunter. He shrugged his shoulders at me.

"She spilled all the food on me and then physically abused me!" What a snitch, I was disgusted. She acts like a spoilt 5 year old.
Hunter was looking back and forward between both of us.
He nodded at Rachel. He then, out of no where grabbed my arms tightly, pulling me up and causing my arm to go red! He sneered at me "Do you want to get fired before you even start!!" His voice was scary and harsh, nothing like the guy I had met in the club a couple of days ago. This was the monster I had to seduce.

My eyes welled up in angry tears. He had changed drastically... He was no longer the sweet, fun, carefree guy I knew!
I angrily yanked my hand out of his grasp. "I was wrong about you Hunter! You are just a mean snob just like the rest of them!"
Hunter looked at me with angrier eyes then calmed them down, looking secretly sorry, but his anger was still visible.
Then out of no where, Rachel decided to butt in.
"What do you mean you were wrong about him? Do you two know eachother?!"
"Yes as a matter of fact, who are you though?"
"Oh I'm Hunter's GIRLFRIEND..."
