Chapter 12: Old Frenemies

"Alexa, calmly put the gun down..." said Hunter slowly and clearly. I looked around and saw panicked faces looking at me or hiding behind each other. I slowly put the gun down and looked at the ground.
"You want to tell me why you have a fucking gun with you?!" Shouted Hunter approaching me with anger. I had no idea what to say!
"Alexa, do you need a distraction, so you can escape?"
Oh I needed a distraction all right, but I couldn't risk Kai's life again!

"Look, I knew from the start that this is a mafia gang. I thought I'd need a gun in case of another attack..." It was the only thing I could think of to say.
"How do you know about us??"
"You guys are the Mancini's! Yous are world famous, of course I know yous!"
Hunter's anger faded and he had a confused look on his face.

"So why exactly did you want this job, to be a servant?? There's got to be more to it." He said looking at my cautiously. "And don't lie this time!"
He could never find out the real reason why I became his servant. He cant know my true plan, of getting my revenge on them for murdering my parents!
"W-will you just f-fire her..." wheezed Rachel from the floor clutching her stomach.
Hunter was looking back and forward between the 2 of us. He bent down and helped Rachel up to her feet.

"Sorry Alexa but since the start you've been troubl-" He was cut off by a well aged man in a suit at the back of the room.
"I think we should keep Alexa." Said the man with a stern voice. I was confused about who he was but I was thankful for him supporting me, until..
"But father..."said Hunter
I had an inner meltdown! This was the mafia boss. When I looked closer at him I saw the same evil eyes that I saw when he pulled the trigger at my father. He was my target now, I had such hatred in my mind. I wanted to kill him right there in that moment.
"Quiet Hunter! Alexa, you sure have some good skills." He said while approaching me.
I nodded in agreement with the devil.
"We have a meeting tomorrow with a fellow mafia that has stolen money from us. I want you to come with us and show us what you can do in a real situation! It shall be a test."
This was my chance to show everyone that I deserve to be in this mafia, I agreed straight away to his proposal.

"It is getting late, go home Alexa and prepare for tomorrow, meet us here at 8am sharp!"
"Yes sir"
"Call me Igor"
Igor..Igor, I already knew the leaders name. Igor Mancini, you are going down! I nodded and walked out of the room passing many shocked faces. I ran through the front door and out the estate. I was greeted by Kai at the gate.
"We are in business Kai!" I shouted in joy and he swung me around. I blushed at him and tucked my hair behind my ear as he let me down. He rubbed the back of his hand against my chin.

"Alexa, why did you agree..?" He said in a concerned tone.
"It's what we have to do, if I want to succeed"
"You are walking into a mafia fight!"
"I'll be fine"
By this point it was night time and it was cold. Kai put his arm around me to keep me warm. "Promise me you'll be okay.."
"I'll be fine" I chuckled with uncertainty. He led me home and then continued his journey home alone.

The next day
I woke up tired at 7 o clock and got ready for the big day, I didn't get much sleep, my mind was racing.
I wore a black jumpsuit outfit with a leather jacket. I was greeted by Kai by my door.
"Ready?"
"Let's do this"
He drove me to the Mancini's mansion and wished me good luck and he assured me that he'll be right beside me if I need him. He really is a good guy, unlike Hunter! I stepped into the mansion at exactly 8 o clock. Igor and Hunter along with other mafia members were all preparing by the front door. Hunters jaw dropped open as he saw me in my hot outfit but Rachel just glared in jealousy.

"Welcome Alexa, you are right on time, but as part of our mafia being early is better." I nodded. You won't tell me what to do for long! "We will be leaving now" said Igor and made his way out the house.
Hunter approached me "You look hot.." he said quietly so Rachel wouldn't hear.
"I can be nasty too.." I flicked my hair, batter my eyelashes and walked out the door swinging my hips. He'll be so in love with me by the end, I laugh to myself.

There was 10 people going in total to retrieve the money. I didn't really know the situation but I kept quiet. We all got into a sleek, big black car. I sat beside Hunter at the back of the car. Out the window I saw Kai's driving his car behind us. I smiled to myself, confident that I'll make it through this!

I turned around to Hunter and asked "So how's this gonna work?"
"Well we are supposed to meet up with the other mafia at our special meeting place. Hopefully they'll return the money to us, if no you know what'll happen... If they do return the money we'll just teach em a little lesson.
I gulped at the sound of that, the Wild Lions are so cruel and ruthless! We were now entering a rundown part of the city with trash everywhere, allies and gangs everywhere.
I turned around to Hunter again "What's the mafia called-"
"Guys we're here" said Rachel cutting me off and with that we came to a sudden halt making me slightly jump out of my seat.

We had stopped in a old looking alleyway which had a few cars parked. I stepped out and looked around the gross surroundings, while everyone else was getting out.
I looked at the cars parked. There was two, and both looked really familiar.
The grey car closer to us, looked just like the car that tried to hit me a few days ago!
I started to get a really bad feeling...
I walked over to the black car at the back of the alley. This one looked more familiar!
It took me a few seconds for reality to hit me. Theses cars weren't just anyone's cars.
They were the cars of Coltelli, my old mafia...
