My tummy rumbled as we pasted a bakery stand. There was a tray of freshly baked cupcakes sitting at the front to capture people's attention, it certainly caught mine.
I slowed down and looked longingly at the desserts making Hunter notice.
"Want one?" He asked turning to look at me.
"They do look nice, but-"
A smirk crept up on his face and his eyes glistened. "What?" I giggled.

He spun around me unexpectedly and he confidently reached for two cupcakes, handing one to me. Hunter began to fast walk away and I began to catch on just as the seller was turning around. I ran up to Hunter who was laughing at my concerned face.

"He won't even notice they're gone! Relax!"
I looked back behind me and saw a middle aged man come out from behind his stand confused, looking at the tray which now had two cupcakes less.
"Don't tell me your shocked that I stole two little cakes! For you Lex, I'd steal all the diamonds in the world, no problem"
"I don't need diamonds, love is what matters..."

I took a bite out of my cupcake, savouring the yummy taste. It was red velvet, my favourite. The buttercream frosting spread around my lips.
Hunter stopped eating and walking. "Love?"
"Well yeah. We all need love. Love is fire, patience, kindness. Love is what helps us to survive."
"I never took you to be the romantic type..."
"There's lots you don't know."
"But I will get to know you... Let me guess, 'You want a love that consumes you. You want passion, adventure and even a little danger.'"

He cupped my cheek that was turning red with one hand. He smiled and leaned in never taking his deep blue eyes off of mine. My hand goes on his neck subconsciously and my eyes flutter closed. For a brief moment all I could feel was my heart rapidly beating but then his lips connected to mine. His kiss was gentle and sweet but got more demanding as I kissed back. A warmth spread throughout my body and it was like I was walking on air. I had lost all knowledge that we were kissing in front of people...

He pulled away and smirked with his hand now around my waist. "Hmmm. Sweet icing."
I let out a quiet laugh and looked around to see a couple of people staring at us.
"They're just jealous!"
"Oh course they are, I'm so lucky!"
"No I am. How I want to make love with-"
"Shhhh!" I laughed with my cheeks burning red. I held up my hand and covered his lips. He  smiled seductively and brought down my hand, kissed my cheek lightly and we began to walk again. I no longer cared about the walk, I just kept picturing me and him in bed going all the way... How I longed for his touch and embrace, this didn't help paling my cheeks...

We approached the end of the market which housed a cute wooden stand full of beautiful bags. A light brown quilted handbag with a gold chain caught my eye. Upon stopping I stroked the bag feeling it's crevasses, picturing myself wearing it.
"Can I steal this for you?" Hunter whispered in my ear catching me off guard.
"Again? You could just pay for it." I whispered back.
"Where's the fun in that." He laughed mockingly and plucked the bag up by the chain, throwing it over his shoulder and grabbing my hand as he made a run for it.

"HEY! COME BACK! YOU HAVEN'T PAID! I AM CALLING THE POLICE!"
"Good luck with that." Hunter scoffed smiling with his familiar wild smile as he ran.
"Hunter!" I called out gasping for air as I ran along."
"Alexa, with me, you will, learn to live!" He laughed, almost evilly. I felt shocked, wild and alive. I noticed I only felt this way with Hunter, and despite knowing that it was wrong, I loved the feeling.

We turned a corner, away from the pedestrian street to catch our breath. "Are you tired?"
I didn't answer but I should have. Hunter pulled me forward unexpectedly and with his strong arms he scooped me off the ground. He carried me like a baby, holding my back and legs. The bag he was stealing was now in my possession.
"Put. Me. Down!" I yelled and smacked my hands hardly against his chest. He just laughed, while I tried to desperately break away.
"You're cute when you're mad."
I gave up after a while as I could see no way out. I didn't hate it, in fact it was nice, just embarrassing as hell. I leaned my head against his shoulder. I might as well enjoy it and relax I thought to myself.
"See, it's better when you obey me. Just don't go falling asleep now!"
"I won't..." I replied and wrapped my hands around his neck. We came to a stop not long after and he let me down gently.

"We're here."
We stopped by a little cozy looking cafe surrounded by birch trees and roses. There wasn't many people around and it was quiet and relaxing.
"It's this where we are eating?"
"I didn't say we were eating in a cafe."
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as Hunter and I stepped into the cafe. Upon pushing the door a little bell dinged at the doorway. It was a rustic cafe. The walls and floor were made from dark oak and there were wooden logs on the ceiling. Flowers and wines dangled down them.
The furniture included wooden chairs and tables with red cushions. On the tables were standing menus and small vases of red roses.

Hunter walked up to the bar.
"Collection for Michal."
An old chubby lady with a bright smile bent down under the bar and then reappeared with a picnic basket.
"Enjoy your afternoon you two, ciao!" She beamed and handed Hunter the intertwined branch basket with had a lace covering.
"Thank you kindly."

"We're going on a picnic?!"
"I hope you don't mind?"
"No this is amazing! Thank you!" I gave him a quick kiss on the lips, and took the basket from him playfully. "Where will we eat?"
He chuckled. "Just at a nearby flower meadow." He replied pushing the door open for me.
"This is like, a fairytale Hunter..."
"Only the best for you!" He returned a kiss to me, making my heart flutter.

He was right the meadow was only a short walk away, behind the cafe. It was beyond beautiful. All the eye could see were endless fields of tall grass under a clear blue sky. These endless fields were abundant with yellow and white flowers. A tall willow tree stood tall in the middle, it's branches drooling low. Leaves were falling occasionally swaying left and right as they fell.

"Ohh it's beautiful."
Hunter ran ahead and he playfully began to roll down a gently sloping hill which led to the field. This behaviour surprised me. I laughed, dropped the basket where I stood and rolled down after him. It felt thrillingly wonderful to loose myself and just be free, rolling in the tall grass as if nothing mattered in the world...
