I was standing at the black gates, looking at the big huge mansion which looked oddly intimidating today. How was I supposed to face them, after yesterday...?
After announcing the code to get in, to the speaker, I slowly walked up to the front door. I was creating lines and speeches in my head of what I could say, for my behaviour. I was wondering, how would Hunter react, which mood would he have? His caring side or his demon side.
I didn't have to wonder for long as the front door swung open, just as I was getting ready to knock. It was Hunter. He was standing there, his eyes full of fear and anger. I haven't seen such scared eyes since my mother's eyes on the day of my father's death... He was deadly afraid of something. The anger I saw next didn't take me by surprise, as I could see this anger in his eyes.

He grabbed my arm tightly in an instant. I was terrified. His angry eyes glared into mine, but relaxed as he saw my swollen eyes. However what happened next, did take me by surprise. He pulled me into himself and hugged me. Yes he actually did. My head was against his chest and I could feel his racing heart thumping under my ear. He sighed in relief as he held me in his strong arms. What did I feel? I felt love, hatred, safety? I felt safely in the arms of my enemy... No, he doesn't mean it, I won't mean it either.

I pulled away from him gently, not daring to look up to him, or else I would have wanted to stay in his arms forever.
"I'm sorry, I'll get back to work..." I mumbled whilst looking down.
"Really? That's all? Fine then."
He pushed me and walked away with disappointment, his face turned angry again but he didn't want to show it. He was back to himself. I followed him through the door but we later split as he walked into the library and I, into the servant's  kitchen. I figured it would be safer in there.

As I stepped into the kitchen, Allie ran up to me, full of questions.
"How did Hunter react??" She asked.
"Not good..." I replied "He's just being his angry self as always."
"Alexa, you should have seen him after you left. He was frantic and so worried about you! He didn't eat or sleep, and he was getting people to go out and look for you! Alexa, I think he really cares about you!" Exclaimed Allie.
I was speechless, did he really do all of this for me? Even Kai heard. "Damn Alexa, don't catch on feelings for him!" He said laughing into my earpiece. Feelings? Haha, no...

For the rest of the day, I tried to avoid everyone. I passed Hunter a few times, but he just brushed past me and stared at me blankly.
Wow this guy has mood swings. The whole mafia was talking about Coltelli in the mafia meeting and how it was my fault for starting a war.

Apparently, Hunter started a fight with them over me, to protect me... War was declared and a massive fight took place in the alley, luckily no one was severely hurt, just some punches and shooting threats. Both mafias plan for revenge though, as many were injured.

I felt guilty, this was all caused by me. The mafia was acting all tense and whispers were seen and heard everywhere. Everyone seemed to be staring at me and I couldn't take it, I wanted to be out of this mission and I'm sure that would make lots of people happy.

I excused myself from the meeting and left the mansion secretly, feeling braver than how I did when I came in. After I walked a few blocks, I sent Igor a message telling him I was sorry for the trouble and that I would leave them in peace and never return.

A heavy weight lifted off my shoulders and I felt free. Now I just had to tell the Chief.
Kai met me at my house looking happy. He was smiling and his teeth were shining white in the sun.

"Hey Alexa!"
"What's got you so happy?" I asked.
"Same reason as you, you quit the mission! You're safe now." He replied
"You care about my safely..?" I giggled, my cheeks turning red and warm.

He nodded while putting his arm on my shoulder, he had the cutest grin on his face. I didn't mind this romantic gesture, Kai isn't too bad. He makes me feel safe and valued, unlike someone.

"Okay that's not the only thing that's made me happy, I want to ask you something."
"Go on..."
"Since we aren't exactly partners in crime anymore, would you like to... maybe go on..."
I had never seen Kai like this, he was shy and so sweet. I felt sorry for him so I helped him out.
"A date?"
"Well... yes, that's the technical term now isn't it?" He laughed. He went over to my neighbour's garden and plucked a red rose from her rose bush and he brought it over to me. What a romantic, what a gentleman. I giggled as I smelt the rose's sweet scent. All of my troubles were forgotten in this one moment and I felt happy. On a normal day I would have said no to this date, but today was a good day, and my answer was yes...
