Chapter 10: Broken Engagement

"What..."
"I said sorry" He was looking down at the ground as if he was ashamed.
We stared at the ground in awkward silence. I decided to break the silence.
"So if you were with Rachel, why did you, you know get with me?"
"Me and Rachel had a fight that day and I wanted to forget... We got back together yesterday."
"You didn't tell her about us I presume?"
"Of course not! What am I? A priest?" He scoffed rolling his eyes.

I genuinely felt sorry for him, even for Rachel despite what they did. I also still had to seduce Hunter, which I totally forgot to do. This man makes things so difficult. I put my hand on his shoulder to comfort him. He looked at my hand for a few seconds and brushed it off, getting back to his usual self.
"What are you doing ?!" he snapped.
"Nothing.."
"Then stay put!"

Seriously how was I supposed to seduce him? I need to get Rachel out of the picture first and maybe get him drunk again?
"Why are you with Rachel?" I asked flirtatiously and twirled my hair doing so.
He looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "Because she's my girlfriend?"
"She's a spoilt bratty woman! Don't you want someone else?" I edged closer to him.
"She may seem like that...but she helped me through my troubles.." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring, not just any ring, an engagement ring!

"This is what we fought about, I asked her to marry me and she flipped out.."
Perhaps he does have a caring side? His eyes were staring off into the distance. After a while he got up and walked to a chair in the corner of the room.
"It might take a while to get out, I'll just rest."
"You don't work in just a random business now do you?"
"No Alexa, I don't.." he sighed.
And he closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep, while I stayed in the same place that I was. sitting down against a brick wall, rocking back and forward. A few minutes had passed and I heard Hunter snoring in his sleep.
I looked at the door at the back of the room which had me wanting to kick it open and see all their secrets! I decided to take the risk. I quietly got up and tiptoed towards the door keeping a close eye on Hunter for any sign of movement. When I reached the back I quietly spoke to Kai.

"Kai ?"
"Jesus Alexa! Where are you?"
"I turned my earpiece off, sorry. I'm trying to get into a mysterious door at the back of the safe room."
"What?!"
"Trust me, and don't scream" I quietly laughed.
"Be careful."

I felt overwhelmed with curiosity. I gripped my hand on the handle of the door and gently pulled it down. I was so excited to find out what was inside, the suspense was killing me! I quietly pushed it and... It did not budge!
I was so disappointed I smacked my head with my palm and groaned. Why? Why does this have to be locked.

As I was scratching my head in thought I felt a hair pin! I used to do a lot of breaking into locked places while in my old gang, Coltelli. My hope was not lost yet. I stuck the pin into the door hole and began moving it around. My skills were rusty, this was not working!
"Hey emm how do you pick locks?"
"Alexa what are you doing!"
"Just tell me."
"Kai knows best! Stick it into the lock and-"

"You trying to break in?!"
"Ahhh! Jesus!"
It was Hunter, he scared the life out of me! Oh shit what do I say to him!!?
"I em..needed to go to the restroom?"
He didn't look very convinced. "I would go with you too but unfortunately we don't have one right here" he smirked.
"What do you mean go with me!?" I said and cringed at the thought.

He held his hands up "Nothing nothing. But you tell me why you're trying to pick the lock just to go bathroom and why you're speaking to yourself ? He laughed.
I looked down to my feet feeling embarrassed as he laughed.
"How long were you awake..?"
"Since you groaned so loudly. If ya really need to go, get a bucket and do it in the corner!" He continuously laughed.
"No! I'll survive" I laughed joining in with him. I guess when there's no one around he's nice, he doesn't have to pressure to be as cruel as he was..

He smiled at me and said "You hungry?"
I nodded. "You hungry for me?" He smirked. My eyes exploded with shock!
"Just kidding, here" he threw me some granola bars and also a bottle of water to make fun of me.
I quickly ate the bar and went to sit down beside him. We sat beside each other in silence smiling. It was actually really cold in the room and I began to shiver as I only had a blouse and an apron on me.
Hunter saw me shaking and took off his gorgeous leather jacket and... gave it to me. I was beyond surprised but accepted it anyway.
I wrapped it around me and hugged it taking in the smell and how amazing it felt.
My mind was drunk with the sensation.

My mind was thrown back to reality when "Woah, you sure do love me! Just don't ruin it!" Said Hunter smiling.
"Haha, very funny, but thanks."
"You really gave me a lot to think about Alexa, you actually aren't that bad. Maybe I do need someone better than Rachel."
Yes!! Jackpot I shouted in joy to myself.

"Maybe that person is right under your nose" I said smiling
"I doubt it but who knows right? Maybe, just maybe" he said while looking at me. He looked into my eyes like fire igniting, I could sense his longing for me.. How pathetic though, I laughed to myself, he doesn't know what's coming to him. I put on my flirtatious skills and went to sit down on his lap. He got startled but he seemed to like it.
"Alexa... I am in a relationship- ah screw this."

He grabbed my head and smacked his lips against mine passionately, just like he did on the day we met but this time there was more longing in it. He dug his fingers into my hair and slid his tongue into my mouth causing me to moan. He began to plant soft kisses down my neck as I rocked my hips into him.
I strangely like it too, I missed it. He ignites fireworks where ever he is. We both wanted more and more like a drug! I hate him but I enjoyed this!

"HUNTER YOU CHEATING BASTARD!!" Shouted none other than the Rachel Foster.
