Poem #5 : Why do they hide away?

Midnight is the best time.

It's when the ghosts and wolves come to play.

The creepy clowns and eerie mime

come and eat the food they slay.

The rabbits, the pixie and the fairy,

All follow their mistress, Bloody Mary,

Who treats her subjects equally either cute or scary.

The Kappa, Kraken and the mermaid come to the shore,

Singing songs and narrating their folklore,

Of Man, his cruelty, sly self and his want for more and more.

But when the Sun kisses the horizon, at the start of dawn

They all flee since the night is gone.

Daytime is the worst time,

It's when Man comes out with his perfect crime.
