Poem # 10 : Departure

68 10 11

"Gabriella!" he cried;

"You can not leave me, my dear."

"I have to! " I say, "My time is near."

"I'll stop death!"  he said. Yes, he tried and tried.

But death conquers all.

As I neared the white light,

I saw my love, lament over his lost fight.

"Darling, "I  whisper, "Don't lose hope; don't falter, don't fall!"

Unsure if he heard me or not,

I enter the kingdom in the sky.

"I'll forever watch over them, " thought I,

"My dearest love and our beloved little tot."
