Poem #11 : Anguished Optimism

All Summer long I had looked at the trees;

Never did they get tired; they danced and danced.

Growing and glowing under the sun.

Unnerved by the winter to come

I thought 'Oh how foolish they are!They'll die in a month!'

Sun's love went away in a month; just as I had thought.

Hundreds of leaves fell from the once happy bough.

Everywhere,everything was white.

Dawn to dusk; at all the hours it was silent and cold---

Only the howling of the wolves was heard at night

Painted  like a picture of death; stood the once happy trees now.

Time passed by; I was left only with the sight of trees and my thought

Illness had made me weak; I just laid in bed watching the wintery month

Maybe I'll be alright...but I knew my time had come.

In the end, when I closed my eyes forever; I felt the soft kiss of the sun.

Summer came by, Oh how their leaves enhanced!

Morning and night they again danced in the breeze.

 // Marvel of the nature;what strange creature they are;the trees?
