"Well," I take a deep breath.

"Mum called again, she was all nice to me at the start. I yelled at her. I don't know why she called, I don't even know where she is. I yelled at her about how she left us, I thought that it would knock some sense into her thick head. I tried to make her feel what I felt when I was six. I tried to make her see how badly her leave affected us. It didn't work. She called me a fucking slut, a whore, useless, filthy, and a m-mistake."

Michael pulls me into a hug and holds my hand in comfort.

I continue.

"I told her how I felt about her leaving. But I said it in a bad bad way. She then told me how she f-fucked dad then how s-she s-stabbed him. She said he was a man whore. She said she walked around half naked for me, Jaydn, and Shania. She did nothing! I don't understand why she would call after all these years!! I ended the phone call and then I cried. I cried for so long. It felt like forever, but in reality I think it was about 1 hour. After I cried for so long, I unzipped my teddy. I reached in the corner of the teddy then I grabbed the razors. I cut my biceps and forearms. It felt good Mikey,"

"It felt good Mikey," that sentence makes me see what she's feeling.

"There was so much blood Jade," I say, my voice cracking.

"I'm sorry, it felt good. It's my escape. It makes me feel as if I'm showing the pain I feel on the inside, on the outside. Just seeing the cuts make me feel good, it makes me realise that I am still alive. I know it sounds weird. But, it's true." She explains.

I know that she's cut many many times before, and they've been deeper that this.

But what I've never known, is what she feels when she does it.

So her explaining this gives me a whole new perspective on what she feels.

"I..... Went to sleep, or passed out or however you want to see it. I was tired. I couldn't see how much blood I lost. All I know is that..... Mum's a bitch" she laughs as she says the last sentence.

I laugh with her, trying to make the tension lessen.

I sit up a little bit and I help Jade sit up as well. I can tell that she's still very weak.

I grab Jade's guitar and start playing some random chords.

I start playing Year 3000 by Busted, and she starts singing along.
