It’s been a week since my freak out. Me and Riker are really close friends now. He’s been there for me. After what happened, he took me home in his arms. My mom flipped out and admitted me into a hospital for a few days. She also hired a therapist to come talk to me every day to make sure I wouldn’t do something, she calls stupid and pointless, again.
Throughout all this, Riker has been by my side. And of course Jamie, who scolded me for doing what I did and then cried with me afterwards. She also had some words with Caleb, who had some words with Dylan, who is now grounded forever and has a busted up nose and lip. I high-fived her for that.
Today I was laying on my bed reading a book by myself. The door to my room was left open because my mom was paranoid that I might do something else. I was patiently waiting for my daily visit from my therapist, when there was a knock on my door. I glanced up and saw Riker.
“Hey.” He smiled, walking over and sitting on the edge of my bed. He took my bandaged hand in his.
“Hi.” I smiled back. I was so happy I had a friend like Riker, but secretly I kinda wanted to be more than friends.
“How are you?” He asked, like always. I put my book down.
“I’m good. I’m just waiting for the therapist and what not.” I said. “Will you stay with me?” I asked, looking at Riker’s eyes. I swear, every time I looked at them, they sparkled.
“Of course. I will always be here for you.” He answered.
We sat in my room watched some TV, waiting for the therapist to arrive. It wasn’t long before the doorbell rang. I went downstairs with Riker following behind me to open the door. It was my therapist.
“Hi, Hayley. How are you?” She asked.
“Hi, Ms. James. I’m good.” I said, stepping aside to let her in. She entered my house and I was shocked to see someone I never wanted to see again. I started to panic.
