Starbucks was crowded, unlike I expected. There was a huge line that started from the cashier and ended at the door. I pushed through a couple of people, trying to get out of the way. I didn’t see Riker, so I ended up leaning on a garbage can. Someone touched my shoulder from behind literally a second later.

“Hayley.”  Riker said. I turned around. He was standing there wearing a blue Hollister shirt, jeans, and some awesome black converse.

“Hey.” I said.

“How are you?” He asked, smiling. His smile was perfect.

“I’m good. Um, do you want to sit down?” I asked.

“Sure.” He answered. Riker looked around quickly. “Maybe outside? It’s crowded in here.” He said. I smiled for no reason.

“Sure.” I replied. We ordered some coffee and found a cute table outside. The sun was shining bright, but luckily the table had an umbrella attached to it.

“So, I wanna get to know you. Tell me about yourself.” Riker said, leaning back in his chair. I laughed.

“What is this? E Harmony?” I joked. Riker laughed too.

“You’re funny, Hayley. I think you’re cute.” Riker said. I blushed. He thinks I’m cute!

“Thanks Riker.” I said. I tucked a loose curl behind my ear. “So, um Riker, what music are you into?” I asked.

“Oh so now you’re asking me the E Harmony questions. I get it.” Riker said, making me laugh. “I’m into pop music. Actually I’m in a band.”

“Oh, that’s so cool.” I said amused. I took a sip of my coffee.

“Yeah, it is.” Riker said. It was obvious that he was showing off, but I didn’t mind. We started talking more. Everything was going great, until someone cleared their throat.

“Hayley. I need to talk to you.”
