Jamie ended up sleeping over once again. She didn’t even bother to call her mom to tell her that she was alive. I got out of bed and washed up in the bathroom. I was meeting Riker at Starbucks today and I wanted to make a better impression. My first one sucked considering I feel on my butt, he knew I cut my wrist and I had a fight with my ex boyfriend in a public area. So, I made my way to my closet. Opening it up, I scoped it for the perfect outfit. The first thing that caught my eye was a bright orange crop top that I recently bought. I paired it with some shorts and a few colorful bracelets.
I was walking over to grab my converse, when I accidentally stepped on Jamie’s hand, waking her up from a deep sleep.
“Hey!” She muttered.
“Sorry I woke you. I was just getting ready.” I said. Jamie sat up and rubbed her eyes. Her auburn hair was messed up, considering she slept like an animal.
“No, it’s a good thing you woke me up. I was having this awful nightmare about Caleb and how he-“ Jamie was cut off by the ringing of her cell phone. She pulled it out from under her pillow and put it to her ear. “Hello?” She asked into the cell phone. I used the moment to retrieve my converse.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t call you. I was busy.” Jamie said. She was obviously talking to her mom. I started lacing up my sneakers, still listening to Jamie’s conversation.
“I said I was sorry.” Jamie said. Her voice was getting higher and I could hear her mom’s voice coming out of the phone.
“What? No! I don’t wanna go home.” She paused and huffed. I heard her mom shout something into the phone. “Ughh! Fine.” She said, before she hung up.
“Your mom?” I asked, although I already knew the answer. I finished tying my shoelaces and got up to put my makeup on.
“Yup. She wants me to go straight home. So, I’m gonna get dressed, drop you off at Starbucks, then get something to eat and probably go home.” Jamie said. I laughed.
“Jamie, I’m pretty sure that going straight home doesn’t mean stopping at three different places before you actually go home.” I said. Jamie rolled her eyes.
“Whatever.” She said. I finished putting on my makeup and made sure my scars weren’t visible. Jamie got dressed and as soon as she finished we jumped in the car and left to Starbucks.
