That same evening at Phantomhive Manor ...

It was a supreme evening as we were all ready for the surprise but as the moon reached higher in the sky we all knew that Ciel and Sebastian were not returning tonight. It was hard not to feel a little disappointment but their absence was understandable and thus easier to accept. I suggested we hide any evidence just in case they returned in the middle of the night. When we were done we all slipped away to our rooms, however about an hour after getting into bed I felt awful and my brain began to run wild with apprehension and anxiousness as when I had these feelings something was usually wrong, "Why do I feel this way? This foreboding feeling, oh I hope that Sebastian and Ciel are safe and ok. Sebastian feels further away than is even possible." I took a walk to clear my head of the fear growing in the pit of my stomach. I reached the largest window in the Manor and began speaking to the night, "Please let them be ok. Please let them return to us unharmed. Please .." I yawned at the stars and after sitting down I fell into a deep sleep with the night around me, it reminded me of Sebastian.

The morning sun peeked over the horizon and I could feel the sun reach for me, I stretched out and suddenly realized I was sleeping on the floor. I quickly got up and made my way to my room. I missed waking up in Sebastian's arms but continued to fight off the feelings that lingered. I changed and began about my daily duties with a ferver that rivaled Sebastian. I did not want to to dwell on the feelings creeping into my heart and head. I felt I was losing control and when I sat down in the Ciel's study trying to catch my breath my senses became super heightened and books started falling off one of the shelves. I had never been able to do anything to this magnitude before and I begged at myself to stop. After two rows of books fell to the ground I was able to stop myself, I was unsure how I ended it but I was so thankful it did. I took a deep breathe and went over to the books and began returning them to their shelves. One of them grabbed her attention and after putting all the other books back I took this one and returned to the couch. Opening the cover I was not certain if it was a good idea to even look as the book was about angels. I took another deep breathe and began to flip through the pages. I came across one section about the different types of angels and what their duties were. One type of angels duties were to purify the unclean. Those words rung in my ear to the day of my father's funeral. I flipped through more pages and found artist representations of what angels look like. They were very human in appearance and some pictures shown them with wings and others without. I began to read some eyewitness accounts of persons who had allegedly met angels and while some seemed very unlikely I have to admit some of the stories were very convincing. My eyes grew heavy and soon I was soon asleep in the afternoon sun.

I awoke to a hand running across my cheeks and across my lips. I opened my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck just holding onto him tightly. "I see my kitten missed me" as he hugged me back. "Sebastian you were missed, most certainly. While you and Ciel were away I had a really horrible feeling that you were farther away than just distance, it felt like you were not returning home" I told him fighting back tears, "I am so very happy you are home. Thank you for the presents as well." "Oh you liked them then?" he said with a velvety voice. "I love them,  I love you" as I kissed him pulling him close and he sensually bit and licked my bottom lip. We both heard a noise from the hallway, we stopped midkiss listening then I slightly laughed, he asked "Some light reading?" "Well I had a bit of an accident today when my ability manifest itself. I ended up finding this book and grew curious" holding the book up to show him the cover. "Oh my curious kitten, did you find anything of interest?" as he took the book from me closing it and setting it down. "I read about the duties some angels have and one mentioned has the job of purification which made me think of the man at my father's funeral and what I overheard him say," I said shaking my head as if that would remove the thought from my mind. Sebastian took my hands in his, "I am beginning to think your ability is much more powerful than you may think. I will admit now that the visit to Ciels property yielded good results but not until after dealing with two ghosts who had taken up residence there. A game of chess was played for my services and unfortunately Ciel lost on account of the others deceit. I watched as he lost and knew that I must be returned to Ciel and to return home to you. The next morning the older of the two ghosts had a realization about his and his brothers death and they were able to pass over," he watched my expression to see how I would react to his tale of ghosts. With a playful look, "My butler I find that this world is full of unexplained improbable and impossible people and situations. Yet just because they seem improbable or impossible does not deem them untrue." Sebastian looked at me, "There are no bounds to which I wouldn't go to make your mine forever." His eyes bloomed red and I ran my fingers across his lips to which he kissed them I seductively said, "I have a special surprise for you later."

Sebastian placed the book back on the shelf and we started towards the dining room when we heard the voice of a young excitable girl. I had heard stories about Lady Elizabeth and the cute havoc she could bring when she visited, like the time that according to Bardroy she put a bonnet on Sebastian. I couldn't help but stilfe a laugh and Sebastian turned to me, "Stop that, I know what you are thinking about." I giggled once more, "I'm sorry, I'm not sorry." His lips turned up mischievously, "Oh really.." as he began to lightly tickle me. I broke out in laughter, "Do you think you could wear it for me?" I asked trying not to laugh. 'Oh you are up to no good aren't you my kitten?" With a wink I said, "Well what kind of kitten would I be if I weren't up to no good?" "Oh my kitten, you did miss me!" he gushed. "I did miss you so very much my butler" as I kissed him. He pushed me against the wall and we held onto one another while we kissed away the distance and fear.
