2 pm Appointment with a Reaper

That morning at Trancy Manor ...

Shanda woke as the sun peeked across the horizon and she felt Claude's arm casually slung across her body. She turned to face him and he pulled her closer breathing in deep he greeted Shanda, "Good morning my love. Did you have a good night's sleep?" She put her face in the crook of his neck and whispered, "Yes I did my love." As he opened his eyes she felt his arms pull her even closer, "I know today we are meeting with the Reaper. I have one request." Shanda looked at him, "What is your request?" He kissed her gently then answered, "What you hear may surprise or shock you, please promise me that you understand that I do not care what you are, I only care about who you are." Shanda thought to herself then spoke her thoughts outloud, "Claude, I promise. You know when I dreamt of life before all I hoped for was to one day be free. Now that I have been granted that freedom I dream of another life, a life with you. One in which we are together always." She began to cry just a little, Claude noticed wiping away the stray tears whispering, "Do not cry Shanda, we will get our dream."

Not too long after there was some commotion in the hallway, Claude stealthily got dressed telling Shanda not to worry and that he would be back. He kissed her and left quietly out of her room. She lay there for a few minutes thinking about what she would learn today with her mind wandering to Claude's words. They were set to meet William the Reaper at 2 pm near the stables. She had chosen that spot for its privacy and distance from the Manor. She thought she'd go down early and see Peggy and Necromancer before the meeting, one to tell Peggy that they were meeting with someone and express politely that they needed complete privacy and secondly to let Necromancer run and be free. She tried to shake the worry from her thoughts but they lingered in the back of her mind as she got up and dressed. She knew that no matter what with Claude there she would be safe protected and cared for.
