Under that same afternoon sun at Phantomhive Manor ...

Since Sebastian had left earlier that morning, I had been far busier than I had even planned. I attempted to keep myself extremely busy as to avoid watching the clock and waiting for Sebastian to return. I had helped Ciel with a lesson on poetry and we briefly discussed Sebastian's order in his investigation into my past. We spoke with an understanding that we both searched for truth to an end we were not exactly sure of, but nonetheless the answers were worth the unknown for understanding. I sensed Ciels heart rate spike as we spoke, his need for justice and revenge rivaled my own. However the means he had taken for the opportunity for revenge far out weighted the sacrifices I had had to make. "Miss Sara, I know Sebastian will find something of use today even if it is not an answer, it will lead you and us to one or many" he added as we heard Mey-Rin down the hallway. 'Thank you Lord Ciel. I truly appreciate all that you and Sebastian have done for me and the care I have been given" I said as a crash was heard nearby, "Excuse me Master, I will go and see what has happened. Would you like me to bring you some tea?" "Please and thank you," he replied already being consumed by his own thoughts.

I stepped into the hallway and Mey-Rin was picking herself up. I quickly came to help her up. "Oh Miss Sara, I am so very sorry! Yes I am," she said as we picked up the broken pieces of an empty frame she had been cleaning. "It will be okay, don't worry. Just be okay this glass is very sharp" I warned as she picked the glass shards up. I saw it happen, she picked up a piece and it pierced her skin. I quickly grabbed her hand and wrapped it in her apron guiding her to the sink. After turning on the water, she stuck her hand in and winced at the the sting. I watched waiting for the blood to stop so I could bandage it up, it dripped and smeared in with the water. I couldn't take my eyes off of the sight when I heard her, "Miss Sara it has stopped." I snapped back to what I was doing, "Oh okay, that's good. Let me bandage this up and how about I take care of what you were doing? You need to keep this cut clean." I had to convince her that it would be okay but she finally conceded and went to her room to change. As she walked away I had to lean against the wall to catch my breathe.  I had never been this anxious or overwhelmed around blood before but the pressure of seeing her blood dripping and streaking into the sink was unexplainable.

I felt suffocated as I started Ciel's tea. While it brewed my need for air forced me to the door leading outside, I would bring Ciel his tea momentarily. I stepped outside letting the brisk air fill my lungs and my mind clearing away the suffocating feeling. I watched as the sun reaching higher into the sky, wincing at its brightness with the rays heating my body. A few moments later I tried to move and couldn't. I willed myself to move but was incapable as I began to panic. Tears streamed down my face, I felt as I was dying without the consolation of being able to say goodbye to Sebastian and everyone.
