First Dance

We heard Ciel and Lady Elizabeth call from the dining area and we completed our walk while holding hands until we entered. I set out serving tea while Sebastian served dinner. Mey-Rin, Bardroy, Finny and hopefully Tanaka were setting up the surprise in the parlor. I was extremely happy not only to meet Lady Elizabeth but that she was able to make it on such short notice as she was involved in the surprise as well. Lady Elizabeth looking at Ciel,  "Can you introduce me to the new maid? She is absolutely adorable. I love her red hair and she would look even more beautiful in a green or black gown." Ciel looked at me and I stopped what I was doing and came over, "Lady Elizabeth I would like you to meet Miss Sara Hawkins." Lady Elizabeth jumped up from her chair running towards me and hugged me. I hugged her back, "It such a pleasure to meet you Lady Elizabeth." I watched Ciel and Sebastian look at each other and more unspoken words were passed, those words were of a good nature as both of them let a small grin meet their lips.

I was cleaning up with Sebastians help when Mey-Rin came in and asked, "Sebastian can I borrow Miss Sara for moment? Everything is fine, yes it is!" Sebastian nodded and I shrugged my shoulders feigning ignorance. We quickly and amazingly without falling made it up the stairs to my room as quickly as we could and I changed into a silky sleeveless deep emerald gown with a lace bodice and put on the necklace Sebastian had given me. Mey-Rin waited in the hallway to make sure no one, especially Sebastian, saw me. When I opened the door she motioned for me to exit. We made our way to the parlor where everyone was retiring to after dinner. Mey-Rin walked in excusing herself for being late, then Bardroy extinguished all the lights except for the chandalier while Tanaka went to the piano. Mey-Rin and Finny sat quietly as their part was done, they had gotten things in the parlor ready. I stepped in and the corner I was in was completely dark but I could feel Sebastian's eyes on me. Then Miss Elizabeth stepped forward when Ciel demanded to know what was happening, "My dear Ciel we have a surprise for you and Sebastian upon your safe return we all wanted to show you just how much you mean to us." I watched Sebastian almost blush, had he never been surprised like this before. I was thrilled that I was the first to surprise him in this way. Miss Elizabeth continued, "I fear we have played a small trick on you both. I have not just met Miss Sara but we have been in contact and this is your surprise."

Tanaka began playing the piano, Miss Elizabeth coaxed Ciel into a dance and I revealed myself from the corner. Sebastian's eyes glowed crimson as I approached the piano and began to sing the song that accompanied the music Tanaka was playing. I did not sing very often but I loved to sing, even Ciel was shocked and listened intently as he and Miss Elizabeth continued to dance. I was struck by Sebastians expression as I sung the melody,  his expression was filled with possessiveness. It did not concern me as I was his through and through. I did not, however, expect him to hold out one hand asking for a dance in the middle of the song with everyone around us. I looked around and we were being watched but when his hands pulled me close everyone else was lost. I looked into his eyes and sang the song for him, to him, about him. He moved with power and grace holding me tight. When the song ended I could tell he did not want to let me go and when he did he whispered,  "You had better not change before we have a moment alone." I winked quickly, a silent promise that I wouldn't.  Ciel and Miss Elizabeth approached me as Sebastian took a step further back, Ciel smiled as Miss Elizabeth excitingly jumped up and down, "Miss Sara that was perfect! Thank you for singing so beautifully that even my Ciel wouldn't stop dancing!" then looking around, "THANK YOU EVERYONE!" We all bowed to her and Ciel and in nowhere near a harmony replied, "You are most welcome. Thank you." I looked at Sebastian and saw him silently say, "Thank you" as rush of heat spread across my skin.
