Jungkook POV
The next day comes all too quickly and as I get ready this morning, I can already feel my nerves building up within me. I'm not ready for the week to begin again, and certainly not with bringing Namjoon hyung with me everywhere, but I have to do it anyways.
I can't just let my life stop all because I lost him...
Changing into my clothes for the day after showering, I look myself over in the mirror to make sure I don't look like a completely fool. Taking a deep breath, I force myself to tear my eyes away from the mirror in front of me and focus on finishing getting ready.
Once I've done so, I exit my room and head over to Namjoon's room. I knock loudly on the door in hopes of waking him up, but hear nothing in return. I try once more, but end up with the same result.
Sighing to myself, I hesitantly open the door and merely hope that he sleeps with clothes on. That's the last thing I would need to do while he's trying to adjust to living with me rather than being stuck at the hospital.
Walking over to him, I can't help but notice how adorable he looks while sleeping. Lips lightly parted with his hair all over the place and certainly in his face, he's lying on his stomach with one pillow under his head and the other hugged tightly to his side.
Reaching the bed, I sit down on the edge and reach over to shake him gently. Hopefully he's not a heavy sleeper...
"Hyung, it's time to get up." I whisper lightly. He moves around a bit, curling up into a loose ball but not really waking up which causes me to giggle softly.
"Hyung, come on. You have to get up now." I say again whilst shaking him once more. This time, he wakes up. Squeezing his eyes shut tightly with a cute pout, he rolls onto his back and rubs his face with his hands.
"I'll go start on breakfast." I mumble softly with a small smile, leaving his room.
By the time the food is ready, Namjoon enters the kitchen area and takes a seat at the table. I bite my lip nervously as I dish the food out and pour us both some coffee, wondering just how well this day is going to go.
"Good morning, hyung." I greet him with a smile as I set his plate and cup down in front of him. He just looks up at me with a raised eyebrow before looking down at the food in front of him.
Grabbing my own plate and drink, I sit across from him at the table as we both begin eating. Once again, we're quiet the entire time we're eating before I put the dishes in the sink.
Grabbing our jackets, I lead him out the door and back over to my car. The entire drive to school is completely silent, though that's mainly my fault as I don't bother trying to make conversation.
Instead, my mind is too busy worrying and wondering how this is going to go. As I drive, I'm completely lost in thought. I'm not exactly the most liked person at college. Ever since...
Ever since hyung left, everyone at school began to look at me as the weird kid. The fucked up one who had an even more fucked up friend that he lost. The fucked up kid who lost his roommate. And even though that happened back in my senior year of high school, for whatever reason, it ended up following me to college as well. And so people aren't always... the kindest to me.
Namjoon POV
As we arrive at the college, Jungkook parks his car and we both get out. I merely stand there as he gathers his things for his classes before we head inside the building.
It's only now that I notice he has a camera hung around his neck, but I don't question it considering he did say he was a photography major. Though, the thing I do want to question is why everyone we pass is staring and giving Jungkook weird looks.
And don't get me wrong, they really aren't looking at me at all. Everyone we pass gives him either a dirty look, a surprised and disgusted look, or a shameful disappointed one. Nobody here seems to take much of a liking to him at all, not a single person bothering to approach either one of us.
It makes me wonder why the hell everyone here seems to dislike him. He seems like a good kid just as Jin hyung said, but it doesn't add up as to why everyone's acting like this towards him.
"Yah! Do none of you have anything better to do than stare at him?! Or is he just too hot for all of you to be able to get your eyes off him?!" A boy a little ways away from us in the hallway shouts.
My eyes widen at his sudden outburst, though it does cause most people to avert their gaze elsewhere. Only, it also causes the once silent hallway to buzz with whispers as we walk through, the boy who'd shouted walking towards us with a happy smile on his face.
"Hyungggg, you know you don't need to do that." Jungkook whines softly as we meet up with the boy. The boy merely chuckles though, his voice sounding fairly deep.
"And we both know that you hate all of that attention from everyone and that I'll always protect my little Kookie!" He grins.
"Hyung, this is my new roommate, Namjoon. Namjoon, this is one of my best friends, Taehyung." Jungkook introduces us. Taehyung smiles at me and bows slightly.
"It's nice to meet you, hyung! Is he joining us for our lectures, Jungkook?" Taehyung asks curiously as he turns his attention back to the younger boy. He merely gives him a small smile and a nod.
"Awesome! Let's be on our way then, shall we?" Tae says with a grin, linking his arms with one of mine and one of Jungkook's. With that, he begins to drag us off to whatever their first class is.
While the two of them begin talking about whatever photography project thing they have, my mind begins to wander.
Why exactly was everyone staring at him with such disgust? And why did everyone begin whispering the moment Taehyung scolded all of them? What exactly was Taehyung talking about when he said he'd always protect Jungkook anyways? Why didn't Jungkook want him yelling at everyone? And why does he hate the attention so much?
