Jungkook POV
"Ready, hyung?" I ask as I look over at Namjoon hyung who's just walking down the hall now from where our bedrooms are. He gives me a small smile and nods his head as he walks over to me.
Though, I don't get to take more than a step before my phone begins ringing. Frowning in wonder as to who would be calling and especially this early, I pull the device out of my pocket to see Jin hyungs contact.
"Hello?" I answer curiously, wondering why he would be calling.
"Jungkookie?" He asks from the other end, causing me to smile while Namjoon looks at me in confusion.
"Yep! Hi, hyung. What's up?" I respond happily, wondering what's going on as to why he would be calling.
"Do you and Namjoon have any plans this evening, Kookie? I've got the evening free for once and wanted to come over and check up on the two of you." He explains. I smile at his question.
"Yeah, we're free this evening, hyung. Do you just wanna come over and spend the evening with us if you're free?" I offer.
"Yeah, that wouldn't be bad. Relax a bit and catch up with the both of you, even if it's only been a couple weeks since I last saw the two of you." He chuckles. I smile once again, recalling the fact that it's finally Friday again and that tomorrow we're going to the fair with Tae and Hobi hyung.
"Alrighty! Just let me know when you're planning to be over, hyung. I gotta go though, I gotta get us to class." I chuckle.
"Alright, Kookie. I'll see the two of you later then. Have a good day." He says before hanging up.
"What was that all about?" Namjoon asks curiously as we head out to the car.
"That was Jin hyung. He's got the evening off so he wants to come over and hang out for a bit. Check up on us in the process." I explain as I look over at him. He stays silent but nods his head in response.
Namjoon POV
The day passes by quickly, and all too soon it's nearing the time that Jin hyung said he'd be here. I have to be honest though, that I'm not too sure how I feel about seeing him again. Though, then again, I'm also kinda worried that he's going to bring me back to the hospital if he's not satisfied with how I've been doing.
"Hyung, you okay?" Jungkook asks softly as he sits down beside me on the couch. Sighing, I look over at him for a moment before looking forward again at the coffee table in front of us as I shrug.
"I'm fine, Jungkook." I answer quietly. However, out of the corner of my eye, I see him tilt his head again and it kills me how adorable he looks when he does that.
"What're you worried about, hyung? Is everything going okay?" He asks, concern in his voice as he speaks gently. I smile slightly at his concern.
"Everything's fine, Jungkook. I'm not worried about anything." I partially lie. He frowns at me, looking down to his lap.
"You don't need to lie to me, hyung. I promise I'll understand. Besides, I know you're worried about Jin hyung coming. He's not going to take you back there if that's your biggest concern right now. He's gonna be proud of how you're doing, Namjoon. Whether you realize it or not, you're already coming a long way from where you were when I first met you." Jungkook whispers before looking back up at me.
I sigh, looking back over at him. Though, I can tell by the look in his eye that what he's saying is true. He means what he's saying entirely and I mildly blush in response to it.
"Thank you, Jungkook." I mumble quietly, looking down at my lap.
"Hyung,... you don't have to hang out with us out here, if you don't want to. I understand if you feel a bit uncomfortable with that type of situation, and I promise Jin hyung will understand as well. And, if you don't wanna leave your room but need anything while he's here, you could always just text me and I can get whatever it is, if you'd like." He offers with a small smile.
"You don't have to do that, Jungkook. He... wanted to see the both of us." I sigh. I glance down to my hand when I feel him place his over top of mine gently.
"Namjoon, it'll be okay. I'd rather you be comfortable and just hang out in your room if that's what you'd like, rather than forcing yourself to be uncomfortable and be out here the entire time." He repeats, still smiling up at me.
Biting my lip, I pull my hand away from his as I turn towards him and pull him into a hug. I'm surprised by my own actions, as it's been years since the last time I hugged anyone, and I can tell Jungkook is surprised as well, though he hugs me back.
The last time someone tried to hug me, I shoved them away... It's been years...
"Namjoon, I'm so sorry you had to be the one to go through all of this with him. I can imagine how hard it must've been for you. Thank you for taking care of my brother for these last few years now." Daehyun tells me with a small smile as we stand in the hospital hallway, tears in his eyes.
He walks towards me, attempting to pull me into a hug. However, before he can accomplish such thing, I shove him away as hard as I possibly can which causes him to fall on the floor. He looks up at me with wide eyes.
"Fuck off, Daehyun! You have no idea what it's like! You will never know! You couldn't even be a decent fucking brother! He deserved better than this shit from his family! You're only here now because he's gone, you asshole! Go to fucking hell!" I shout at him before storming off.
"Thank you, Jungkook." I mumble before letting go of him and walking away off to my room just as there's a knock at the door.
