Namjoon POV
Without noticing it, I become really quiet for the entire day. My thoughts are too busy stuck on the things Yoongi hyung had said in my dream and the things Taehyung had told me yesterday.
Instead of paying attention to anything, I'm busy picking up on different little habits of Jungkook's and wondering what the hell he's hiding. For someone who's life sounds like it isn't that great, he hides it really well. And for whatever reason, it irritates me.
"Do you guys wanna walk around for a bit? It's another really pretty day out." Taehyung asks curiously as we exit the building after they've finished their classes. Jungkook doesn't even answer this time, looking immediately over to me instead with a curious smile on his face and his head tilted slightly.
How the fuck can someone be so cute?
"Sure." I answer quietly with a shrug. Jungkook grins in reason, revealing a grin that resembles a sweet bunny.
"Oh! So the fair is gonna be in town this weekend. Hoseok and I are planning on going. Do the two of you wanna join us? I asked Jin hyung to come as well, but you know how he is with his work." Taehyung offers, striking up a conversation as we begin walking seemingly aimlessly.
"Hyung, do you wanna go?" Jungkook asks, looking up at me once again with a sweet innocent look on his face.
"I dunno, Jungkook... It's... been a while since I've gone to a fair." I answer hesitantly, recalling memories of when I'd drag Yoongi to come with me to help get his mind off of the guy he'd completely fallen for the last time we'd gone.
The last year or two the fair had came around, we couldn't go because he'd always be drinking and writing instead of doing anything else. We used to always go and have tons of fun, but... I don't know that I'm ready to go through that again with someone else...
"Oh, come on, hyung! It'll be lots of fun! There's so much good food there and tons of fun rides to go on! And they even have really fun games and whatnot too! Please, hyung? It only ever comes around once a year." Taehyung immediately starts begging. Jungkook just chuckles at his sudden change in attitude and behavior.
"We don't have to go, if you don't want to, hyung. We can go a different year instead if you'd rather." Jungkook tells me gently, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder as he smiles up at me.
"Jungkookie doesn't talk about himself a lot. About his family, the things he's going through, and especially his thoughts and feelings."
"Jeon Jungkook! You can't honestly be considering skipping out on the fair! You love going there even more than Hobi hyung and I do." Taehyung says seriously with his voice decreasing in volume as he speaks, frowning over at the younger boy.
His words cause me to look back over at Jungkook once more, a tiny frown now on my lips as I look at him in confusion. However, Jungkook just rolls his eyes with a smile still easily on his face, shrugging.
"It's not the end of the world if I miss the fair once, hyung. It's no big deal. Really. If Namjoon hyung doesn't want to go, then we aren't going to go." He says calmly, as if he couldn't care less about going.
How is he so good at hiding how he's feeling? If he really enjoys going to the fair as much as Taehyung says he does, how and why is he not close to throwing a fit over me not being too sure I want to go?
"It's okay, Jungkook. We can go if you want." I tell him softly. However, he surprisingly frowns at me in turn.
"Hyung, seriously. We don't have to go if you don't want to go this year. It's really no big deal." He repeats, stopping in his tracks as he looks up at me with a serious look on his face. I give him a small smile though, appreciating how kind and considerate he's being about this.
"It's fine, Jungkook. It... it might be good for me to go again. Like I said, it's been a while since I've been to the fair." I answer gently.
He looks at me, seeming to search for something as he looks up at me and staying silent for a moment with a serious look on his face. Though, after a moment, he merely shrugs and nods his head.
"Okay. We can go then." He says before beginning to walk again.
I look over at Taehyung in surprise, hoping for some kind of explanation on what the hell just happened, but Taehyung just sighs and shakes his head. He gives me a weary look but follows the younger boy anyways.
After walking around and talking about random things for a while, we end up back at the car. Waving goodbye to Taehyung, we get in the car and Jungkook begins driving.
"By the way, hyung. We have to stop at the store before we go home. I hope that's okay with you." He informs me as he pulls out onto the road. I just shrug and nod, not really thinking much of it.
"That's fine. What do we need though? I thought we were fairly stocked up with everything at the apartment." I ask curiously, wondering what the hell we could possibly need right now.
"We are stocked up on everything at the apartment. However, you're going to be needing some things for a while." He answers vaguely. I catch the tiny smile playing at his lips as I frown in confusion.
"Jungkook, what the hell are you talking about?" I ask, growing mildly worried about what he's talking about.
"Well, if you're going to be starting college tomorrow, you're going to be needing supplies."
