Namjoon POV

After somewhere around fifteen minutes, I hear the door to my room open once again. I don't bother looking over to see who it is. I don't really care.

"I talked to my friend, Namjoon." Jin hyung starts with a sigh. I roll my eyes but don't bother looking back towards him.

"So?" I question, my voice cold and bored as continue staring out the window on the wall opposite the door.

"You're lucky, Namjoon. He's a very kind person, very caring and extremely helpful. He'll be here in thirty minutes so pack your things. And, please, just put some effort into things when you're with him and try not to be too hard on him, would you?" He informs me with a sigh before leaving again.

Rolling my eyes once again, I stand up and pack up the things I have with me here. It only takes me fifteen minutes to get everything packed into the duffle bag I have with me before I toss it to the always empty chair in the room. Sighing, I sit back down on the hospital bed and grab my notebook out again to start writing some more.

After around another fifteen minutes, there's a knocking on my door before I hear it open. This time, I hear two pairs of feet enter the room, though I still don't bother to turn and look.

"Namjoon, this is my friend, Jungkook. Jungkookie, this is Namjoon, the patient I'd told you about." I hear Jin hyung speak. Staying silent, I simply stand up and grab my bag from the chair before turning to look at the boy I'll be staying with.

Eyeing the guy up, I can tell he's nearly as tall as me. Dark brown hair that's fairly straight, parted near the middle to reveal a bit of his forehead. Though, he's got a bit of a baby face. Cute.

"It's nice to meet you, Namjoon. You ready to go?" He greets kindly. I simply raise an eyebrow at him.

"Does it look like I'm ready to go?" I question coldly.

Jungkook POV

I purse my lips at his response. He reminds me of Yoongi hyung when I first met him. Taking a deep breath, I pull another smile onto my face.

"Let's get going then, shall we? Have you had lunch yet?" I ask kindly, trying to be as warm to this hyung as I can.

"No." His answer is short and cold, causing me to sigh. He's gonna be as hard to break as Yoongi hyung was, isn't he?

"Well, we can stop somewhere to get lunch at then!" I tell him happily as he walks over to us with a bored expression. He just rolls his eyes at me with a shrug.

The three of us exit the hospital room and Jin hyung comes with us all the way until we reach the reception area. At that point, I stop us from leaving immediately so that I can talk with Jin.

"Thank you again, for doing this, Jungkookie. It really means a lot and I'm really proud of you for doing so well." He tells me with a small smile, glancing over at Namjoon.

"It means a lot to hear you say that, hyung. You know I'm always happy to help out whenever I can. Definitely seems like he could use a friend outside this place anyways." I respond with a smile of my own. He sighs but nods in response.

"I'm really hoping this will help him. I know nobody really tends to want to be friends with their doctor and it's definitely harder to enjoy things when you're locked up in a sterile hospital. Try to get him to do things with you, if you can. It probably wouldn't hurt him to go to your classes with you and wherever you tend to go." Jin informs me. I nod with a small smile.

"Don't worry, hyung. He's in good hands. I'll see what I can do." I comfort, patting his shoulder. He returns the smile.

"I know he is. I know you'll be able to help him." He says softly, looking over at Namjoon as he speaks.

"Namjoon!" He calls, causing the older boy to roll his eyes and walk back over to us.

"What?" He snaps coldly. I bite my lip, looking at him curiously as I wonder what he went through to make him like this.

"I mean it, Namjoon. I want you to try and put effort into things. Find something you really enjoy doing. Give Jungkook a chance and actually work with him on things. I promise, he's really not a bad person." Jin hyung says, his tone gentle as he speaks to the boy beside me.

"Whatever, hyung. Are we leaving or not?" He asks, turning to me with an annoyed expression. Giving him a small smile, I nod my head.

"I'll see you later, hyung. Take care." I tell Jin before Namjoon and I exit the building.

Leading him over to my car, we're both completely silent. I notice him looking all around us with a quiet sigh as we walk to the car, but I decide it better not to say anything.

When we reach my royal blue car, he tosses his bag in back before sitting in the passenger seat while I climb into the driver seat. Starting up my car, I notice him checking out everything in my car. I dismiss it though, driving out of the parking lot as I recall that Jin hyung had mentioned he's been stuck in there for a couple years now.

"So, Namjoon. How old are you?" I ask curiously as I begin to head back towards my apartment. Luckily I finally decided to clean Jimin hyungs room out last month.

"Twenty two. Why? How old are you?" He questions, his tone showing clear annoyance at my attempt at a small conversation.

"Oh! You're my hyung then. I'm only nineteen." I answer with a smile. He looks over at me with seeming disgust.

"Seriously? Jin hyung stuck me with an actual fucking kid? He really is an asshole." Namjoon mutters under his breath, though I catch it anyways.

Biting my lip, I decide to focus on driving and to stay fairly quiet for the drive at least. I can try conversing with him again when we get to the café near the apartment.

I really hope I made the right decision to help him out. But I guess the healing process is supposed to be one step at a time. Right? I guess this would be the next step... isn't it, Jimin hyung?
