Chapter 9 - War Has Officially STARTED!

SAME DAY - (Wed, 26 February 2020)

Kiara's POV

We drove to my apartment in silence, both stuck deep in our own thoughts but at the same time he was still caressing my back and running his hand through my hair but when I sneaked a peak at him, he looked far away and I think he doesn't even realize what his doing at this very moment and what it does to me to finally after so long have his touch that I've missed so much.

I don't know what's going to happen when we get to my apartment and I can't help but think of all the possible ways this night could end, for one he could go back to hating me and show that he doesn't remember me, or he could continue being the man I know him to be, the man I love more than life itself and tell me that he happens to love me too and I'm hoping that it's the latter. Today I was so scared, terrified actually but as soon as he showed up I felt safe and protected, like nothing can touch me, I wonder if love feels that way for others because for me it does every second I am in his arms, or even just in the same room as him, that's how deep my love goes for him.

"We're here" Dante says bringing me out of my thoughts and that's when I noticed that he was here, I didn't even see him, so I jumped out of the car and threw myself in his arms.

"I missed you" I say causing him to chuckle and hug me back.

"Missed you too sis but you knew we weren't far right?" He asked and I laugh while nodding my head. "I knew that sister of yours wouldn't be able to keep her mouth shut" he says causing me to giggle and when I looked back I saw Steph standing there smiling at us and I just smiled back because I guessed that my wish came true, it did turn out to be the latter afterall.

"Can I come up?" Steph asks causing my smile to grow, I don't know why I got all excited but I did, I felt all giddy inside.

"YES!" I nearly shout and then clear my throat and then blush at my stupidity. "I meant sure" I say and then look down causing him to chuckle and if that wasn't embarrassed enough, Dante had to burst out laughing, Asshole.

"I'll wait here for you" Dante says and the tap Steph on his shoulder. "Do what you gotta do brother" he says and then hugs me.

"I'll see you soon okay?" Dante asks and I just nod at him.

Steph and I made our way into the building and into the elivator and up to my door in silence and I felt like a school girl the whole way, nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time, I guess it took an attack to bring us to this point and I've dreamed of this moment for so long but now that it's actually happening I can't seem to get a hold of my emotions. When we got to the door the gaurds greeted Steph and he just nodded at them and that's when I realized that I didn't have my bag but that's when Steph handed me my bag and I tilted my head to the side looking at him questioningly and he smiled.

"Julia gave it to me when we left her office" he says and I just smiled and searched through my bag for the keys and when I got it, I unlocked the door and we both walked in.

"Would like something to drink?" I asked him while gesturing with my hand for him to sit, which he does.

"No thanks, we need to talk" he says seriously and it made me worried but I sat down next to him nonetheless.

"Okay abou-" I was busy saying when I heard little feet running, oh no!

"Mommy!" I heard them shouting and when they came into the living room, both of them froze when they saw Steph sitting on the couch and they broke into big smiles and ran to him. "DADDY!!!" They shouted and threw themselves into his awaiting open arms, and it put a smile on my face and tears to my eyes because I knew they missed him terribly.
