NEXT DAY - (Fri, 06 March 2020) HOURS LATER ➡ AFTER MIDNIGHT
Kiara's POV
We just pulled up to the safehouse and I jumped out immediately, it's already after midnight as Steph's beach house is about 3 hours away and I had to see to the kids first before I could leave as they already stayed up past their bedtime, thanks to Antonio. After making sure they were fed, bathed and in bed asleep, I packed myself an overnight bag and then the guys drove me here. As soon as I walked in Gio jumped up from the couch, I didn't even wait for him to say anything.
"Where's Steph? What's going on?" I asked
"His not here" he says and then signs when I gave him a questioning look. "I'm going to tell you everything but you have to promise me you won't interrupt me and just listen till I'm done" he says and I nodded my head not in the mood to fight him now because I needed to know what's going on and clearly the guys felt the same way because they came closer to hear what Gio has to say.
"Okay I'll start from the beginning, Steph, Dante, Roberto and I went to the Estate just after we send you guys to pick up the girls. Steph came up with a plan to trap the Rat and maybe even whoever is helping him at the Estate if there are any. He knew that if whoever the Rat is see Roberto with him, that it would make him panic or finally slip up and it worked." He says and then signs and shaking his head then he turns to me. "You should sit down" he says and I knew then that whoever it is I'm not going to like it, so I sat down without a word.
"Dante, James and I plus Tim's men that's on the Estate grounds were on the lookout plus Steph had Elijah watch the surveillance for anything suspicious. Hours went by and we came up with nothing but that's until James did his rounds outside." He signs again and then crouches infront of me. "He over heard someone talking over the phone and he stood still behind a corner and listened, and from what he over heard he knew he found the Rat. And it turned out to be Simon..." He says looking at me for a reaction or an outburst I think but all I could do was look at him, not actually registering what he just said.
"Your fucking kidding me right!" I heard Antonio yell and I still didn't move an inch, I'm not even sure if I'm breathing.
"Simon...?" I asked softly to no one in particular as soon as it registered what he just said.
