He walks up to it and opens the door for me. I enter and after he's inside, he puts the wet umbrella in the back seats. He starts the car and we head to the road.
" Like to read?"
" Yeah, why?"
" I have a novel on the back."
" Oh."
I grab it and am so engrossed in the story, I don't notice we stop. I look up and see we are near my neighborhood. I look at Damon and he laughs, when he sees me confused.
" You really like kitsunes."
" Yeah, my room is full of their novels."
" Well, where now?"
" Turn left and then left again."
" Okay."
We are almost there, when the car is hit from behind. He looks at the mirror and his expression darkens. He goes at full speed and starts taking us at an unknown destination.
" Why are we being followed?"
" They're old friends. Hold on."
He drives faster and pretty soon, we pass the red lights. We are heading to the forest. The car continues to follow us and when we enter the forest path, he gets out and pulls me outside. He pulls me deeper and deeper inside the forest. After a while of running, he stops and looks for something on the trees.
I am annoyed and start heading the way we came from. He grabs my arm and turns me around.He makes me look at him and I'm surprised he looks at me angry.
" Where do you think you're going?"
" Home. This is your problem, not mine."
" It is now."
" How?"
" They saw your face and I'm sure they know where you live."
Realization hits and my anger explodes. At that moment, we hear footsteps. We hide on top of a tall tree and I am surprised at who I see.
