" How?"

" When you took the attack for me, the transformation started. You were always this, but you needed to do something heroic to unleash the power within you."

" I am not a kitsune! I am a human and all the mystical thing don't exist!"

I run and find myself lost. I suddenly smell something far away and run towards the smell. Damon runs after me and tries to catch up.

" WAIT! The others can't see you like this!"

I find the exit and when I am done climbing the stairs, I find a wooden door. I open it and find myself in the center of the forest. I run to the road, when suddenly, someone pushes me down. I look up and see it's Damon who threw me down. I push him off and try to run again. He transforms and he looks at me angrily.

" Look, I know you're afraid. The thing is that you can't let anyone know of what you are!"

" Why does it matter to you? You're the cause I'm this!"

" No, it's yours. You didn't have to protect me, but you did. Why?"

" You, well, I don't know."

I sigh and try to think calmly. He turns back and sighs.

" At least learn to turn back."

" How? Won't I look this way even as a human?"

" No. Your hair and eyes will be like before. This is how you really look, but kitsunes in human form never show how they really look."

" Then how come your eyes look red right now?"

" Well, I'm a four tails kitsune, so I'm more powerful than you."

" Okay, how do I turn back?"

" Calm down, first of all. Then, remember how you look like a human."

" Okay."

I open my eyes and I look like my old self. I smile and start running towards the road. When I reach the car, I am mad, when I see it's completely destroyed. I walk up to it and check to see if I find my backpack. It's open and my books are missing. His items are gone as well and the car won't be able to run.

" It seems they left angry."

He appears out of nowhere and I'm surprised he is calm.

" How are we going to get back in time? Wait, what time is it?"

" If you mean scholar time, then you are almost two minutes late."

" WHAT!"

" Yeah, your transformation took a while."

I look around us and when I'm sure no one will come, I think how to turn once more.

" I got a question."

" How do you transform?"

" Yeah and what about the magic you are supposed to have?"

" First of all, it's we. Second,you just turn like when you turn into a human. About the magic, you can't do much, since you only have one tail."

" What about you?"

" I can do much more, since I have four tails."

I turn into a kitsune and start running towards the civilization. He transforms as well and catches up. While we run, I ask all the questions I have in my head.

" So, what am I supposed to say to the teacher about the missing school supplies? And what about my mom and Carlo?"

" With your mom, you can say you were studying with Carlo. About Carlo though, he can't know his girlfriend is a mythical creature. Now, I can make a illusion to help us."

" What kind of illusion?"

" That we have everything we need. I'll try to make it real, but that'll take time."

" I can't do much, so let's go with that idea."

" But you will need to start getting better in kitsune form."

" Why?"

" It's likely Karin will attack more often and other creatures as well."

" Where will I find a mentor?"

" You forget I'm one?"

" No, it's just that because of you, I'm this."

" Let me remind you that it was you got in front without me forcing you to."

" I couldn't have you die."

" Why not?"

" You saved me. It was the least I could do."

" Okay, so I teach you, but you will have to escape from now on. The training will have to be during the night."

" I'll try."

We reach the school and we manage to not be seen. Before we enter the school, we turn back and he creates the illusion. We enter the classroom and Carlo sighs relieved, when he sees us enter.

" What happened to you, fox? Oh, good morning, Damon."

" Good morning, Carlo. I'm sorry, but I'll explain later."

" You better. Now hurry you two and sit down. You're one minute late. It's a good thing that the teacher is always late."

" It really is."

We sit next to each other, since they are the only ones left. The teacher enters a few minutes later and starts the class. After a while, Damon's illusions seem to be working well and we get pass all the classes without a problem. The three of us are heading to gym, when Karin shows up and hugs Carlo. She walks with us, but Damon and I separate ourselves from her.

We enter and we head our ways. But before we separate to go to the lockers, Damon pulls me close and gives me a warning.

" Keep a distance from her all the time. She'll try to attack you when you're alone. I can't protect you when you're there, so be careful."
" Thanks, I will."

We smile at each other and head our ways. I enter and put my supposedly items inside the locker and change into the uniform. I am leaving the room, when Karin grabs my shoulder and demands a favor.

" I'm sorry, but I got to go. You can say whatever you want, when we're with the guys."

" Poor Carlo. What if he found out about your secret?"

I sigh and wait till everyone is out and then look at her.

" What do you want?"

" Me? I just want you to join my group. The werewolves are under my control and you wouldn't want them to attack Carlo. Now, would you?"

" Do whatever you want, but I'll never join you. You are the cause of I'm what I am. I'll protect those who I care about no matter what."

She yells and turns. She attacks me, but I dodge. I am about to transform as well, when we hear Carlo from outside.

" Hurry up, you guys! We got to run!"

I run out before she can stop me and pretend I just finished.

" Sorry, but she talked about how much she loves you."

Karin comes out and agrees to my statement. 

" Let's go warm up. Right, Luna?"

" Yes, Damon. Come on, Carlo."

He laughs and we go to the track. We arrive on time and we are told to warm up.
