I am confused, but obey. When I'm about to ask what he meant, he got closer and got my waist. I am about to demand him off, when we hear Carlo's and my mother's voice near the garden. I freeze and he says he's sorry, before kissing me. I feel my heart stop and hear them gasp. My hands go around his neck without y permission and I respond.
" Luna! Get out of his hold in this moment!"
" Damon, I never knew you could make her fall for you, but you should maybe let go of her now."
We separate and he looks at me surprised that I responded. I decide to play innocent for now and look away.
" Mother, I was surprised, when he kissed me. I thought we would be friends. I'm sorry."
" I told you to not get close to her, but you didn't listen. You're lucky your parents are here, young man. Now, get away from her and let's end this dinner."
" I'm sorry, mam. I couldn't stop myself."
She leaves in a hurry and Carlo just comes forward. He pats Damon on the back and says I finally liked someone.
" Hush, Carlo. I'm trouble."
" I thought I would only see her as a friend. I'm sorry, Luna."
" Guys, that was a surprise, but I'm glad she didn't kill you for that. In fact, why did you respond, fox?"
" I didn't."
" We saw you. That's why your mother is angry."
" Let's head back and pretend we never lived through this."
" If you wish, friend."
We walk back and my mother is staying that the dinner is over and she's tired. They all confused, but obey and say their goodbyes.
