" Damon, calm down. Max, I know I'm right. Could you bring your sister back now?"
" Sure."
Laura enters and I hear Danny laughing outside.
" I see Jacky loves little Danny."
" Yeah, she'll play with him while we're here."
" Okay, take a seat you two and we'll begin."
" May I know what you needed to say to my brother, Luna?"
" Yeah. You see, I ----"
I am about to respond, but Damon grabs me by the waist and pulls me towards him. Laura looks at my red face and seems to understand. Damon pulls us to the chair and he sits down. I am confused, but he sits me on his lap.
" Luna is my love and we'll get married."
" Right, I think I knew that by your way of affection with her. Congrats, Luna. I'm glad you told my brother in person and hope you two live a happy life."
" I will, Laura. Damon, could I get down now? It's embarrassing right now with clients."
" Nope. Sorry, my love, but you'll get used to this soon enough."
" If you mean us, don't worry about it. We know love is strong. Right, Max?"
" Yeah, strong."
I focus on the case and I suddenly don't care I'm seen like this. I look at my clients and my professional side takes over. Damon stays quiet as he listens and writes down the details for me.
" Well, let's begin with the evidence of the witnesses."
" Okay. What do you have in mind?"
" First, would his friends or neighbors witness for us?"
" Yes, his five neighbors and two of his friends. Is it good those friends have known Louis for ten years now?"
" That's better than good, Laura. Now, do you have any examples of worst events to prove he would party with the child in his sight?"
" Yeah, he did it twice now while we were fighting. He made a party and didn't care about the baby and I were there."
" Good. Now, are there videos or anything visual to show his daily routine?"
" Yeah, five cameras actually."
" Good. Finally, I'll grab blood tests and other evidence to show his health is poor and that will cause problems and risks for the child. Max, is there anything bad about Louis you're willing to share? Remember, it has to cause a huge negative shock."
" Five memories then. First, he was having fire near the child and didn't realize the danger. Second, he was about to give alcohol to Danny at one party. Third, he never goes to Danny's annual checkups to see if he's fine. The other two I'll say in the court."
I smile as I see there is no way the father can win against this evidence and witnesses.
-Skip time to where they are done and a full file is written. The clients know the scheduled date for the case and they leave the office-
" You were great, my love."
" Thanks. Let's go tell the wolf queen now about our news."
" Good idea."
-Skip time to two days later.-
Damon returned to the kingdom to help with whatever he could and I stayed to finish my adjustments. In three months the case will happen in court and I'm ready for that day.
-Skip to six months later-
I won the case easily and Max found a woman he truly loves. She is the opposite of him, but their love is strong. Everything is back in order and Damon is now loved by my parents. They think I'll leave with him on a vacation of three months to lose the stress. We go to his kingdom and the wedding is almost ready.
