Ancient War

Ambushed

I am walking to school the next day, when a shadow appears behind me.

" Damon?"

" No, fox. I'm a shapeshifter."

I look around and since no one is around, I turn. I get ready to attack, when I'm suddenly surrounded by a whole group of shapeshifters.

" What do you want?"

" We want the kitsune prince to give us his kingdom."

" How does that involve me exactly? I'm just another kitsune." 

" Oh, really? Why has he been around you more than anyone else then?"

" He, um, is a friend."

" Get her! Remember, we need her weak."

I make a illusion and they freeze. I run away, but break the illusion when I'm ten feet away. They are surprised and attack. I smile and make the wind stronger. They have trouble staying on there feet and I finish their trouble by making fire around them.

" How? We were told she was weak!" 

" Really? I thought you knew who I was exactly, shapeshifter."

" We need help, idiots! Send backup!"

They grab a phone from their pockets and ask for help. I make a fireball and blast the phone. They smile and try breaking free. I make the fire stronger and they stay still.

" How long will it take for your backup to get here again?"

" They are here now, fox."

I look around and notice figures everywhere. I am angry for the ambush and get my phone out. Damon answers on the first ring and asks the same question.

" Who's attacking you, Luna?"

" Shapeshifters, Damon. I'm about to destroy this city because of my anger."

" I'm coming. Where was the ambush?"

" At the park near the school. You should see the attack location because of the fire and strong wind."

" Okay, I'm on my way. Hang on."

" Easy for you to say."

I hang up and make snow around me. I'm tired of using all this magic spells at once, but I need to hold them, until Damon arrives. I make snow around the bushes and all the shapeshifters get out and show themselves.

" Great. I got to hold one hundred shapeshifters at once."

" Then it's a good thing I'm here now, Luna."

I look behind me and Damon is in kitsune shape. He smiles when he sees all I've done, but his smile disappears soon.

" Luna, behind you!"

I turn and see five shifters attacking me. I make poison and a thorn wall in front of me. They touch it and fall down on the ground. I smile and continue building the same wall around me.

" Damon, would you mind helping now? I'm getting tired."

" Yeah, sorry."

" You really are not a good prince, you know."

" Funny. Do you want my help or not?"

" Of course I do!"

" What I thought."

He starts attacking and getting some opponents away from me. I smile and stop the fire. The ones inside the fire step out, but because of the fire, they collapse on the ground. Some strength returns and I take the wind away. Hose struggling maintain their balance and attack Damon. He gets all of them on the ground in mere minutes. I finally make the snow go away and keep the wall around me. 

" Luna, do you have a solution?"

" Not really. Do you?"

" Kinda do, but do you trust me?"

I look at him like he's crazy and he laughs. He then leaves me and runs away. I am angry at his action and I make the wall more dangerous. Suddenly, Karin and a large group of cheerleaders are running behind Damon. They stop chasing him and look at the shapeshifters. The shifters also freeze and glare at the cheerleaders.

" Get the queen wolf!"

" Kill the king tricker!"

The cheerleaders shift into werewolves and get ready to attack. Suddenly, a battle starts between the two species and Damon walks up to me. He stops, when he is close to the wall and tells me to please dissolve it. I nod and the instant it dissolves, he kisses me. I am surprised, but still respond. We back away, and see the battle is over. We smile at each other and run away.
