Victory Celebration

" My queen, are you sure you do not wish to attend the celebration?"

" Yes. I would rather stay here and not spoil the occasion."

" As you wish, my lady. I know I am not in any position to say what's on my mind, but if you want my advice, you should start looking for your friend in the human world."

" Thank you. I appreciate your advice."

" It was my pleasure."

She leaves and although I enjoy her company, I still wish Karin was around. After all, we faced a lot of problems, but our friendship was still strong enough to withstand it all. Even if she bit me and that almost killed me, she still saved Carlo, my best friend, from being killed. She loved him more than I did and she was willing to sacrifice her life so he could live. Her brave act is something I will never forget.

Maybe Lila is right and I need to start my search for Karin. She said that her werewolf form was separated from her, so she will most likely live a normal life. I just need to convince Damon that it's the best choice. 

Deciding to try and convince Damon, I quickly change and put on my ring.

I exit my room and before I can start climbing down the stairs, big hands cover my eyes. 

" Damon?"

" Yes, my love."

" Could you please take your hands away from my eyes? I am wearing heels and I'll trip if I can't see."

" Then I'll solve that problem easily."

He takes his hands off, but instead of letting me walk, he picks me up and like the first time I came to the palace, he jumped and landed while holding me bridal style. When he puts me down, he kisses me and puts his arms around my waist. 

" I'm sorry that Karin had to die, my love. I hope you can understand that it was her choice to save Carlo."

" I know, Damon. But she said that she was returning as a human, right? Remember, when we went to the graveyard?"

" And we'll look for her, my future wife. But for now, it's time to show everyone that I have a goddess by my side."

" Ha-ha-ha. Don't make me regret coming."

" I would never dare to do so."

We walk holding hands and after the celebration begins, Damon says that he made me a surprise. Curiosity wins and I ask what it is. He simply shakes his head and says I have to wait.

After the celebration is over, we start walking to my room, when he leads me to the yard. Confused, yet excited, I let him lead the way.

" Damon, what is in the yard that is important?"

" A surprise for you, my princess."

" Am I allowed to know what it is yet or do I have to continue waiting?"

" Your curiosity will be satisfies soon enough, my precious flower. Don't be so impatient."

After walking for a few more minutes, I find myself looking at a beautiful scenery.

" My king, You did this all for me?"

" Of course I did, my queen."

" Damon, this was so sweet of you! Thank you!"

I run to him and kiss him. After we separate, he pours us wine and serves the dishes. 

 While having a conversation, he suddenly gets up and bows.

" May I have this dance, my precious flower?"

" You may."

I laugh and he laughs along with me. He shows me his hand and I accept it. We start ballroom dancing and after hours of dancing, we sit on the grass and look up at the sky. I am admiring the stars when the moon suddenly grabs my attention.

" Damon, look! There is a full moon tonight. Isn't it amazing?"

" Not as amazing as you are, my dear. The moon is beautiful but you are perfect. You are a goddess in my eyes and heart."

I turn scarlet red at his words and look at the ground. I am thinking of all the memories we have had when he suddenly pulls me toward him and I land on top of him. He ignores my red face and kisses me passionately. After that, we lay down beside each other and I let him hug me tight.
