Natalie's POV

I looked into Xukun's eyes not believing that it was really him. I blinked few times making sure that my mind wasn't playing any tricks on me, but he still was there. He was real. He was standing in a police station and didn't have handcuffs on his wrists.

The boy wasn't a boy anymore. He was a young handsome man. Xukun looked more elegant and mature than the last time I had seen him.

Something's wrong...

"Okay...you already know each other...let's start...Natalie was followed today and that how she ended up here. I think it can be connected to that old case," Ziyi explained casually gaining a hit from Irene while I was standing in one place confused and lost.

"That's how you're taking responsibility?! We should have done it slowly, step by step," Irene said frustrated.

"That's not my fault it happened so fast...don't be offended, beautiful," he said to her and she scoffed.

My eyes never left Xukun's. I didn't even know how to react. The feeling of regret and hatred hit me as the memory of our first meeting flew through my mind.

"Oh and who are you sweetie?"

"I asked first,"...

"...and I'm Xukun,"... "So your turn, sweetie,"

"I'm Natalie."

"Natalie..." he said softly coming closer to me and I automatically backed away.

"No! Don't come closer! Who are you all?!" I asked as I hit the desk behind me. I tried looking for something I could use as a weapon, but failed.

"Natalie, please, calm down first," Irene said but I didn't listen to her. She was with him. I couldn't trust her.

"And I trusted you for a moment! But now I find out that you know him! What is going on here?!" I yelled at her. "It's your plan, right? To bring me here? To get a revenge on Jisung and Changbin...so Kate is the next target...or you already have her?" I turned to Xukun and he closed his eyes in frustration. A deep sigh left his mouth while Irene looked at me softly not knowing how to react.

"Listen, Natalie, it's not like that. I explain everything to you," he said calmly and tried to come closer again but I stopped him with my hand.

My heart started to beat faster again. I didn't know if I was in danger or not. The worst was that I didn't even know where I was. It was late. I was already tired and I couldn't think clearly anymore.

"Okay, speak, but don't you dare to make a move," I warned him and he put his hand up in defeat. I gestured him with my head to speak.

"It's quite complicated...I'm kind of a secret agent, we can say and the time when we first met...it was my mission," he said seriously without any emotions as if he had learnt it by heart.

I burst out laughing at his ridiculous explanation. Secret agent? What is he playing now?

"Are you looking for someone?"

We turned around to see Xukun smirking at us.

"Where's she?" I asked not wanting to play in his stupid games.

"She's safe for now..."

''What do you want?" I asked him to skip that stupid chit-chatting.

''You're straightforward. That's sexy..." I rolled my eyes again and I saw Jisung tensed. ''Okay so listen...in a few minutes the race begin and I give her back to you only if Natalie will participate."

"Are you kidding me now? If you're a secret agent why are you telling me it now? Aren't you supposed to keep it a secret from everyone? Also if you're on a good side, why did you kidnaped Kate and forced me to take part in that race, huh? All the evidence is against you," I said chuckling bitterly in disbelief. Does he think I am stupid?

"I told you it's complicated...I had to play like a leader of a gang. Who would suspect that a gang leader is a spy? Exactly...no one...just like you. I'm saying it now because I don't have any other choice, do I? I've just been caught red-handed. And the thing with kidnaping Kate and making you drive it's a really long story and I explain everything to you. It was to keep you both safe," he explained and I scoffed under my breath. "It's the truth Natalie, you have to trust me."

No way in hell...

The man put his hands down not hearing any respond from me. He probably thought I believed him. Xukun was getting closer and closer. I didn't know what he was planing to do. My finders touched something hard and smooth. A book?

I took the item and waited for a good moment. When Xukun was in front of me I quickly threw the book right at him. He got distracted like everyone else by my sudden action and I took the chance. I ran outside and turn to the direction where I had come from. There was a chance that maybe I would find a way home.

"Natalie! Stop! Don't run! It's dangerous, Natalie!" I could hear their screams behind me followed by loud footsteps however I didn't stop but sped up instead.

My lungs hurt from all those physical efforts but I picked up the pace even more nonetheless.

"Natalie!" I could hear Xukun's voice not far away from me. I didn't know how long I was running but the boy was still after me. He wants something from me...he wouldn't chase me for so long if it was something irrelevant.

But it all didn't make any sense for me. I thought that he had been surprised to see me but still it could have been just an act. If he had wanted a revenge why he chose me as his victim? Was it because I had won with him once? Or was it because of Jisung? But why did he want to take a revenge on Jisung?

But at that moment the most important thing I should have focused on was running away.

I quickly turned left. Right behind the corner there was a dark alley. I ran there and hide behind the trash hoping that I wouldn't be found. Please heaven...I don't know what game are you playing...but please stop and save me...

I was sitting down quietly. I heard Xukun's footsteps on the pavement. I tried to breathe as quietly as it was possible however it was hard since I needed a lot of oxygen. He passed the alley without a stop. Soon the sound disappeared and I took a moment to take a breath. Thank you...

I looked around and noticed how old in this neighbourhood the buildings were. I wondered if anyone lived there at all. Some of the buildings didn't even have a roof. Why do I always have to end up in this kind of situations?

The night was dark. The sky was clouded so I couldn't even see the moon and the stars. I checked the time. 11:37PM. How will I come back? Taxi?

All I wanted to do at that moment was to take a relaxing warm bath and go to sleep. And eat of course. Food was the most important.

I was sure of one thing...I couldn't find a way back just sitting behind a trash bin.

I got up and brush the dust off. I walked on the pavement again with my head hanging low. I sighed deeply thinking of the way back. Which way will be the best?

"Got you."
