Natalie's POV

"It's dangerous for girls like you to walk alone at night." I looked up to meet his brown eyes and the cocky smile of his. His hands were placed inside the pocket of his black leather jacket. The shoes, hoodie and the jeans the boy was wearing were in the same shade of black making him unnoticeable from far away. Even the thin scarf around his neck was black.

I should have taken a scarf with me...

"Xukun, what are you doing here?" I asked and continued my way after passing him as if I hadn't noticed him.

"I was just passing by and saw you and because it's dangerous I decided to take you home," he said smiling walking right next to me. I felt strangely relieved however I quickly shrugged it off.

"I didn't say I want you to," I stated not sparing him a glance.

"And I've never asked if you do," he responded and I scoffed. He didn't change at all. He still was the same Xukun.

I didn't answer but shiver again because of the low temperature. I wasn't ready for coming back home at that hour. It was already around nine and I had planned to come back around seven.

"Are you cold?" he asked. I wanted to say no but before I could even opened my mouth he took of his scarf and put it around my neck. "Maybe this will help a little," Xukun said making me speechless.

Maybe he did change a little...or he just was like that all the time...

"T-thanks," I uttered and continued the way. Suddenly I thought of something. "How old are you?" I questioned as I realised that nobody had ever told me. He didn't look old.

"I'm 23," Xukun answered chuckling softly and I stopped in my tracks.

"So you're only three years older than me?! So you were only 20 back then?! How is it possible you were a spy at that age?! I knew you were lying..." I said as it hit me. I should have thought about this earlier...now he knows where I live...

I scolded myself mentally. I was doomed at least. I was so close to believe him. I felt disappointed in myself. I had let him fool me that easily. The anger was building inside of me and I didn't know what I should do.

"I didn't lie...I told you I'm not a typical police oficer," Xukun said getting closer to me but I took a step back. He stopped when he saw my reaction and sighed deeply. "My father worked in it okay? So he trained me to be a spy just like your boyfriend is training to be a star or whatever...and here I am. That's the story," he explained and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I couldn't understand why I wanted to believe him. It all was so messed up.

"Firstly, how do you know what my boyfriend is doing and secondly shouldn't you passed some tests and all to be a spy? And shouldn't you be in a certain age to do this?" I asked not believing in his words and he sighed again getting annoyed by my questions. He knew I didn't trust him and it was making him mad. But why he wanted me to trust him so bad?

"Listen I know what your boyfriend does because I'm good at my job. And secondly, yes, I passed the exams at the age of 18. It's possible but people doesn't know about this because it would be strange to talk about something that is meant to be a secret don't you think?" he said getting closer to me but that time I didn't backed away.

"If it's meant to be a secret why are you telling me this?" I asked softly. I tried to understand but I couldn't. Why couldn't he just play the old Xukun?

"Because I need your trust," he said holding my shoulder firmly but not causing any pain.

"Why?" I questioned again.
