Natalie's POV

"Got you," said the male voice behind me and a pair of strong arms trapped me in a tight embrace. I tried to get free but failed miserably.

There's only one last thing I can do...

"If you want to rape me, please be gentle...I'm still a virgin," I said crossing my fingers and the boy sighed deeply right next to my ear.

"I'm not going to rape you...believe me, Natalie, I don't want to hurt you," Xukun declared still holding me in his arms. I felt a bit embarrassed by the statement I had declared so I was thankful that he couldn't see my face.

"So why were you chasing after me?" I asked gaining another sigh from the man.

"Ziyi said that someone had followed you, right? You're tired and you even don't know where you are...so I ran after you to keep you safe," he explained and I snorted.

"Protection is the last thing that comes to my mind when I think of you...trouble is the best word for you...and...why are you still hugging me?" I asked when I realised that I was still in his arms.

"Because if I let you go, you'll run away," he answered and I nodded my head. He was right.

"And why do you care?" I asked. If he hadn't wanted anything for me so why bother?

"I'm from police after all...caring for people's safety is my job," he responded and I could feel him smirking. I was starting to get sleepy because of the warm his body was emitting. "Let me take you home, you don't have any better choice anyway. I won't hurt you and I answer at every of your questions."

No matter how much I didn't want to admit it, I had to. He was right. I didn't have any other option at all. I would eventually faint in the middle of nowhere. Beside he indeed never hurt me physically. Even when I had thrown him on the ground.

"Okay," I finally agreed and Xukun let me go. A sudden coldness made me shiver slightly. I turned around to him to find him smiling back at me. But it wasn't the cocky smile I had seen before. This one was warm and friendly.

"Let's go to my car," he turned around to leave but I stopped him.

"Wait," Xukun looked at me questionably. "If you care that much...give me a piggyback ride. I'm too tired already and you look quite lively," I said gaining a slight chuckle from the boy. He shook his head but to my surprise bend down in front of me anyway.

I got on his back and he stood up slowly.

"You okay?" he asked me to my surprise. I was expecting him to say that I was heavy or something like that.

"Y-yeah...and you?" I uttered finally.

"You're a bit heavier than I expected...but you're still quite light," he stated and I rolled my eyes.

What a gentleman...

"No...you just aren't as strong as you thought you are," I responded and put my head down on his shoulder. I smiled to myself knowing that I won that round. "So you're saying that you're a spy and that thing three years ago was a mission, right?" I asked hesitantly trying to analyse the situation.

"Yes," Xukun answered simply.

"Tell me about the mission," I ordered and the boy shook his head.

"I can't."

"Why?" I asked furrowing my brows.

"The less you know, the safer you are," he stated softly stopping in his tracks for a moment before continuing the walk. In every other situation it would make my heart flattered, but that time, it made me angry.
