Xukun's POV
I woke up covered in white sheets that definitely weren't mine. I blinked few times as I tried to organise my messy thoughts. Everything got clear after some time as I remembered what had happened.
The strange thing was that I remembered Natalie was with me when I was falling asleep but now she was gone. Where did she disappear? But why did I think she would actually stay with me here...I told her to stay until I fall asleep what I definitely did...you're sometimes really dumb, Xukun...
I sat on the bed slowly as a wave of pain hit my body. My whole upper body hurts but it was endurable. I looked for a phone to call somebody but there wasn't any next to me. I leisurely got up from the bed and made my way to the doors in attempt to look for someone. Anyone who would tell me where Natalie was and if she was safe. That what I really cared about.
I didn't know for who was aimed the bomb but I knew that either way Natalie was still in danger. Even thought I was injured badly Natalie was still under my protection.
I grabbed the doorknob but the door stood still. I pushed and pull in violently few times but they didn't move an inch.
Something was off about the situation. They wouldn't have closed me there if nothing had happend. I was sure they were making plans behind my back and to be honest I didn't like that at all.
If they're hiding it from me it must be something I wouldn't be happy about and what I would want to be involve in...and that must include Natalie!
As I turned my escape mode on I looked around to find something I would open the door with or something I would break it with. It didn't matter...the important thing was to escape as fast as I could. Irene and Ziyi were my friends and I trusted them. I also knew them as well as they knew me.
"Damn it!" I cursed loudly as I realised they took everything I could use to escape. There wasn't a small piece of a wire. Nothing. They planned it well...too well. That meant I would hate their idea.
But there was something Irene wouldn't ignore. Beside her police dangerous woman side she was more of a mother type behind it. I lied on my bed once again and started screaming.
"AGHH NO! THAT HURTS SO BAD! OH MY GOD! HELP ME PLEASE! AGHHH!" I yelled as far-reaching as I was able to. My throat started to hurt but I didn't stop.
Suddenly the door burst open. The sound of high heels hitting the floor filled the room as a smirked found a way to my face. I knew it.
"Xukun...where does it hurt?" Irene asked still keeping some kind of a distance not being sure if I was acting or not.
"The back, the hand...I don't know...everywhere," I explained unclearly breathing heavily to gain her trust.
She came closer as I lied on my stomach. She touched my back softly and I grunt on purposed.
"It doesn't look that bad though...the stitches are okay because I can see no blood on the bandage. Maybe the painkillers stopped working...I'll go for some more," she said and when I heard her turn around I got up and crippled her by twisting her arms.
"Agh...Xukun it hurts...stop, please," Irene begged quietly but I knew it didn't cause her much pain. I wasn't going to fall for my own tricks.
"Tell me where is she? Where is Natalie?" I asked politely not letting go of Irene. She sighed deeply in defeat and stood quiet for a moment before speaking.
"In her house," she splitted looking down.
"With who?"
"No one...we decided that we will back off for now and focus on the bomb incident. We're going to be close to Natalie but still keep the distance to provoke the culprit. We knew you wouldn't like the idea so we didn't tell you anything and just closed you here so you wouldn't do anything stupid but I guess it didn't work," the girl explained and I let her free immediately.
